June 26, 2015 – Volume 24.26 – PAPERWORK MISTAKES – CHECK YOUR WORK!

With summer here, it is going to be VERY important for all of you to check all of your paperwork before sending in your deposit. What does this mean? Run all of your End of Day Reports for EVERY attraction and make sure all tickets match up with your POS report. This is especially important for Universal. If you have extra tickets on your EOD reports, you MUST run a Detail report and return the FIRST set of any duplicates. Double check to make sure ALL areas of the log sheet are filled out, including your name, location name, hours, and ALL COLUMNS of the Balance Table. Many of you are leaving parts of the balance table empty and are not doing simple things like putting your name on the log sheet or your hours. Batch out your credit card machine. PLEASE make sure you batch your credit card machine. The slips should be put in ascending order with the “Detail Report” on top and the “Batch Settlement” on the VERY top. STAPLE them together in this order.summer[1]

3 DAY TOM PRE-ACTIVATED TICKETS
If you are at a location that has these tickets, please be sure to sell them FIRST. They can be sold to anyone asking to purchase a 3 Day Base Disney ticket. Remember, they are to be entered in Category 14 – “Hard Ticket Inventory” in the POS. Some of you are entering them as 3 Day Base MYW tickets and you are cheating yourself out of commissions.

PLEASE CHECK DISNEY WATER PARK TICKETS
We are going to consolidate all of the OLD Typhoon Lagoon OR Blizzard Beach tickets to all of the Diamond locations. Please go through all of your Disney Water Park tickets and see if they say “OR”. If they do, please send an e-mail through When to Work to all of the managers letting us know how many that particular location has. With the exception of the Diamond locations, we will then trade them out for the “AND” tickets. If you have questions, please call a lead or manager.

THEFT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED
Just a reminder that theft of any kind (taking cash under the table for rental cars, improperly charging guests, etc.) will not be tolerated. We have shoppers that continuously check on this. We will terminate and prosecute anyone that steals from the company. We appreciate those of you that are honest and do everything the right way!

REFERRAL CARDS – APPROVED
Remember, you are only allowed to hand out referral cards for APPROVED vendors. When filling out the cards, PLEASE write your first AND LAST NAME, AS WELL AS “AGS”. Many of the vendors are saying that they are getting FIRST NAMES ONLY on their cards and they have no idea who to pay, so please make sure you write your LAST NAME as well.

RENTAL CARS – DOLLAR/THRIFTY
You should always call Dollar/Thrifty/Hertz FIRST for any rental car bookings. You must put the booking in the POS so we can track the reservation and make sure you get paid. Please be sure to put the guest’s name, the rental car company used and the reservation number on every voucher. Action and Enterprise may be used as the secondary back-ups. Shoppers continue to be out and anyone using an unapproved company or not following proper procedures will be terminated.

SEA WORLD CONVENTION TICKETS
We now have Sea World After 2 PM Meeting and Convention tickets. These tickets are located in the POS in Category A11 – Sea World EZTicket and are abbreviated as 2pmSW. We are selling them for $57 plus taxes and fees. As with the Disney Convention tickets, the guest MUST BE QUALIFIED to get these tickets. They must be here on business, in a convention or meeting, or they can be the family of someone here in a meeting or convention. Sea World shoppers will be checking on this. They are good for ANY DAY (including weekends), but obviously you should CHECK THE CLOSING TIME OF THE PARK to see if it’s worth selling it. If they park is closing at 6 pm, it’s probably not worth it, but they later time in the summer is definitely a good value.

WORKING WITH OPC’S
All OPC’s should be allowed to pitch the guest first. This is part of our agreements at all of the properties that we share. The word “Timeshare” should never be mentioned. If a guest asks you what they do, you can tell them they have a “check-in special” available. After they have pitched the guest, they should turn them over to you. If this is not happening, let an AGS manager know and we will contact their managers. Again, they only are able to book about 10% of the people they see, so you have a chance of selling tickets to the other 90%.

ORLANDO EYE IS BACK UP
You are free to sell all 3 attractions – Orlando Eye, SeaLife, and Madame Tussauds. Remember, Sleuth’s is right next door so suggest this as a package for your guests and offer a $10 discount on Sleuths’ Mystery Dinner Show if they are purchased together!

SELL OLDEST TICKETS FIRST
As you count your tickets (TWICE DAILY), please make sure you check the dates and keep the OLDEST ONES on top to sell first. This is especially important for the Disney Convention tickets as they expire. Anything dated after July 2014 to February 2015 will expire at the end of this year. Anything dated March 2015 and on will expire at the end of 2016. So PLEASE keep them in order and sell the oldest first.

AQUATICA WEEKDAY TICKETS OVER
The last day for Aquatica Weekday ticket to be sold and redeemed will be Friday, June 19. At that time go back to selling the regular any day Aquatica tickets.  Again, if anyone is buying Aquatica tickets in advance to use next week, THEY MUST BE THE REGULAR ANY DAY TICKETS!

ORLANDO CITY TICKETS
We would like to see more of an effort on everyone’s part to sell more Orlando City tickets. As the exclusive Guest Services seller, we should be doing much better. If you have ANY guests from South America, please suggest these tickets to them. Marcc is offering incentives and we allow you to wear the shirts, so let’s try to push them more. Use the OCSC ticket envelopes for any purchases. The next day to sell tickets and wear your shirts is Wednesday, 6/24 vs. Colorado Rapids.

June 12, 2015 – Volume 24.24 – GREAT THINGS AHEAD!

We’ve got some exciting things coming! We are adding additional locations that will be great for everyone. Stay tuned!

MEETING REVIEW
Thanks to all of you that came to the I-Drive 360 meeting! We all think it was a great event! For those of you who didn’t show up and were un-excused, you will be receiving a written reprimand put in to your personnel file. We will be receiving Complimentary tickets for those of you who were excused so you can experience the attractions (Orlando Eye/Madame Tussauds, SeaLife) yourself to better sell them.

FOCUS ON HIGH PROFIT TICKETS
How can you make the most money this summer? Focus on selling the higher profit tickets! For EVERY Disney or Universal ticket that a guest asks about, you should suggest SEA WORLD. Sea World continues to have more commission for you than a 1 Day Disney or Universal. If the family has smaller children, always suggest Legoland. Legoland is our highest profit full day attraction! For EVERY Universal ticket you sell, suggest Blue Man Group and offer a $10 discount if they buy them together. Ask about dinner plans and suggest dinner shows. Tell a guest that “everyone does at least one dinner show while they’re here. Instead of just going out to dinner, why not enjoy 2 hours of entertainment!” If you concentrate on these things, you will see your check increase!

ORDER SUPPLIES / TICKETS
As we get busy, please make sure you are ordering supplies needed on the AGS Homepage. Every location should have at least 4 packs of Adult Disney shells and 2 child shells. All locations should have 2 backup rolls of credit card and POS rolls. Don’t forget to order any hard tickets you need! Disney Water Parks, 3 Day TOMS, DisneyQuest, and I-Rides should be ordered.Fathers-Day[1]

SEA WORLD PRODUCTS
The Sea World and Busch Gardens Weekday tickets will continue until further notice. The last day for Aquatica Weekday ticket to be sold and redeemed will be Friday, June 19. At that time go back to selling the regular any day Aquatica tickets.

DISNEY CONVENIENCE FEES
How do you overcome objections about the Disney convenience fees? First of all – DON”T LIE. You must be honest if asked. Secondly, when a guest says they don’t want to pay the fee, you should say “You can set up your Fast Passes in advance and with the waits in line at the Kiosks, it’s worth it to get them in advance and pay the fees”. Plus if they have a smart phone they can set it up on the shuttle or in the car on the way to the parks.

GET OUT FROM BEHIND THE DESK!
We need ALL of you to get out from behind the desks, GREET people, pass out stickers to the kids, and act as “Hotel Ambassadors”. We will continue to stress this until we get ALL of you doing this! If each of you to take this to heart and you will see your sales increase!

I-DRIVE 360 ATTRACTIONS
These tickets are in the POS in A13 – Merlin. These are NOT voucher sales. You must go into the Legoland store to print the tickets. Remember, our tickets allow anytime access! Tickets purchased there have to have a reserved time.

READ EACH TICKET OUT LOUD!
Guys, how many mistakes and deductions have to be made to get this through your heads? We still have people handing out the wrong tickets. YOU MUST READ EACH TICKET OUT LOUD TO THE GUEST AS YOU HAND THEM OVER! We still have guests getting BASE Universal tickets instead of PTP, or getting regular 2 Day Universal tickets instead of 3rd Day Free. PLEASE READ THEM!

LOOKING FOR QUALITY EMPLOYEES
If you know of anyone that is looking for a job, has a great personality, is outgoing, dependable, responsible, loves the theme parks, and is available anytime, including nights and weekends, please have them call the office to set up an interview. We especially need people for gifting.

MATCH UP TICKETS – UNIVERSAL!
As we go into summer, PLEASE make sure you match up your EOD reports with your Product Sales Report. We continue to have problems with Universal. If your Summary Report is different than your POS report, you must then run a Detail Report and RETURN the first set of any duplicated tickets.

SECURITY
Make sure you are using the counterfeit pens on all bills $20 and higher. Please check ID’s for all credit card transactions, match the signatures, and write the ID #, room number and tickets on every slip.

June 5, 2015 – Volume 24.23 – MANDATORY STAFF MEETING

Our next MANDATORY MEETING will be from 1 – 3 pm Tuesday, 6/9 at I-Drive 360. You will be paid and lunch will be served. After our meeting, we will be split up into 3 groups to experience each of the 3 attractions – Madame Tussauds, SeaLife, and the Orlando Eye. So plan on being there till about 4:30. If you are working, we will do our best to try to get comps for you to experience these.

GAY WEEK
Most of the activities this week are privately ticketed events. However, the main day will Saturday, 6/6 at the Magic Kingdom. If you are selling ANY Disney tickets this week to families with children, please advise them that SATURDAY will be EXTREMELY CROWDED and they may want to choose to go another day.

DISNEY WATER PARK TICKETS
There still seems to be a lot of confusion on the Water Park tickets. We are trying to deplete our inventory of the “or” tickets, so we want to sell these first. Water Park Hopping is NOT included on these tickets. If a guest wants to hop, you can give a $5 discount on the “or” tickets only and they can upgrade at the gate. Try not to mention Water Park Hopping at all. Please call a lead or manager if you have any questions before selling.

UNIVERSAL 3RD DAY FREE ENDS 6/7
Once again, our last day TO PRINT AND SELL the 3rd Day Free tickets is Sunday, June 7th. All days on the ticket MUST be used by 6/20. As for the 7 Day Base Giting Ticket, THERE IS NOW A CORRECTION.  Universal has decided to EXTEND this ticket until August 7th.   If you are selling tickets in advance for AFTER 6/7, they must be the REGULAR 2 Day Tickets without the 3rd Day Free. So please be sure when selling tickets this week to ASK when they are going to start using the tickets so we don’t have any problems.summer[1]

GET READY FOR SUMMER!

BUSY TIME IS COMING – BE READY!
Busy season is just around the corner! Make sure you and your locations are prepared. Check your supplies and make sure you have at least 4 packs of Adult Disney shells and 2 packs of Kids. Check your POS rolls and credit card tape. Get to the locations EARLY! Give yourself time to count your bank and tickets.

COUNT INVENTORY TWICE DAILY
Some of you are getting lazy and not EVER counting the hard tickets you have in inventory. All tickets in inventory MUST be counted twice daily – at the beginning and end of your shift. We don’t care if you’ve sold any or not. They still MUST be counted. Again, when counting, please check the dates and make sure the OLDEST tickets are on top of the stack to be sold FIRST. We want to sell the OLD Disney Water Park tickets and Convention tickets FIRST.

LEGOLAND WATERPARK DAILY
Both Legoland AND their water park are now open daily through September 7th.

3 DAY TOUCH OF MAGIC TICKETS
For those of you who have these tickets, you should sell them when your guest wants to purchase 3 Day Base tickets. The tickets are already activated – you do NOT swipe them. You must enter them in the POS in Category A14 – Hard Ticket Inventory. When selling these, you must WRITE on their receipt “No Changes or Upgrades” on the tickets. These tickets cannot be changed in ANY way – no adding hopping or days.

I-DRIVE 360 ATTRACTIONS
The Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds, and SeaLife are listed in the POS in Category A13 – Merlin Entertainments Group. These are NOT voucher attractions. You MUST print the actual tickets in the Legoland store.

READ THE GAZETTE/ WTW MESSAGES
It gets very frustrating for the management when we put information out there for YOUR benefit and you guys don’t read it. If we are sending messages, they are important, so PLEASE READ THEM!
