January 27th, 2017 – Volume 26.56 – Harry Potter Celebration

WALT DISNEY WORLD

Dates for Disney after dark: January 27, March 2, and March 9: 9 pm – 12 Midnight
February 2, 9, and 16: 8 pm – 11 pm. Guests can check in as early as 7 pm. Twenty-five of the most popular attractions will be open. There will be a VERY LIMITED number of guests allowed into the park so all rides and attractions will have minimal wait times. All guests will receive FREE Ice Cream and beverages located at food carts throughout the park. There are a limited number of tickets available for each night and some nights may sell out, so it will be important for your guests to PURCHASE THEM IN ADVANCE. Our tickets are the SAME PRICE as at the gate or online, so there should be no reason for your guests not to purchase from us. $127 for both Adults and Children including taxes.

UNIVERSAL

Harry Potter Celebration now through Sunday, January 29. This event is INCLUDED in park admission. Most of the events are happening inside of Universal, so this might help guests decide who only want to buy a 1 park ticket. See costumes from the movies (including Fantastic Beasts), learn how to duel with wands, get sorted into a Hogwarts house, and much, much more.

SEAWORLD

Last weekend for Praise Wave Concert Series with Skillet on January 28th. February 11th, SeaWorld will be starting their Seafood Festival and running it until May. This is a great event to talk up to your guests. SeaWorld rep has said our hospitality tickets should be rolling out in February or March so that we can enjoy the festival as well!

January 21 Francesca Battistelli Praise Wave Concert. Legoland BOGO tickets are meant for gifting locations only, or as a pre-gift for one of our timeshare partners. You should NOT be mentioning the Legoland BOGO unless you are working with an OPC or in a gifting location. There are no special offers with Legoland to give “Kids Free” at this time, so you should always be selling the tickets out of the regular store. When you sell out of the REGULAR store you get MORE COMMISSION. ONLY if a guest is “on the fence” and debating on buying from you should you offer the BOGO as a last resort.

– February 3rd from 10 am – 2 pm. You and 1 guest are invited to attend. RSVP by 2/1 at orlandofunpartners.com/event. Please bring proof of employment.

Guys, we CANNOT honor any day off requests for these days. I repeat – WE CANNOT HONOR ANY DAY OFF REQUESTS FOR THESE EVENTS! You MUST work it around your schedule! Please do not submit them or you will be denied. For the I-DRIVE 360 attractions, there is PLENTY of time for you to attend on EITHER day and still have it work around your schedules. For Gatorland, if any of you CANNOT go during this time, we may be able to get some additional comps for another day. If you work 7 – 12, you can go after 12. If you work in the evening, you can go before your shift. For those of you who normally work 7 – 3, we will not be able to give you the time off.

January 14 TobyMac Concert. Now is the time to really push Discovery Cove. January day packages are the lowest they are all year. Not only is it all inclusive (food, drinks, and wet suits are all complimentary) but your guests also get UNLIMITED access for 14 days to Seaworld and Aquatica. Make sure to check the schedule because Discovery Cove is sometimes closed Tuesday-Thursdays. Try to add on the Dolphin Swim for more commissions. Sell, sell, sell!

January 6, 2017 – Volume 26.53 – What to Sell in January

Hollywood Studios starts their Star Wars Tours this week so if your guests appear to be big Star Wars fans, suggest this (7 hour) tour to them. Epcot starts their Art Festival on the 13th (weekends only) where they showcase Disney art and specialty foods. Explain all ticket options with your guests, who might not know about Park Hopping or the Water Park and More options. BLIZZARD BEACH CLOSED – Saturday 1/9 through Monday 1/11. WE ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO ACTIVATE FLORIDA RESIDENT TICKETS USING THE DISNEY FLORIDA RESIDENT SHELLS. Please read Rick’s message on When to Work. Remember we are currently in REGULAR ticket season for one day tickets.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

THE 1 DAY PTP PROMO TICKETS ARE NO LONGER VALID AND NOW MUST BE PRINTED ACCORDING TO SEASON. You must NOW sell and print them according to PEAK, VALUE, and REGULAR season. When printing tickets in Instant Ticket Wizard, the NEW TICKETS are all the way at the bottom of the ticket store and listed as “In Market Program 2017”. We now have special 2 Park 2 Day Base tickets that will give you MORE commission than before. MAKE SURE YOU READ ALL TICKETS OUT LOUD TO THE GUEST WHEN HANDING THEM OVER!

Did you know that guests enjoy FREE ADMISSION to select CityWalk® venues with their Blue Man Group ticket stub? Let your guests know this when selling your Blue Man Group tickets!
