Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party: With
our tickets the guest can enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4 pm at the
specially designated turnstile. This is a good selling point for these
tickets. Unlimited trick or treating, special merchandise on sale that you can only get at the event, special fireworks, Halloween parade, special character meet and greets and plenty more!

We are in VALUE season with Friday-Sundays in September being Regular. September 1-4 is Regular. ASK YOUR GUESTS WHAT DAY THEY ARE GOING FOR ANY 1 DAY SALES. For the Disney Water Park sales, we are in Seasonal pricing with the block out dates.

Epcot’s Food and Wine festival has officially started! Show your guests the promotional sheet Disney reps dropped off to hotels this week. It shows the concert line up and talks about some of the offerings at the event.

SEAWORLD & LEGOLAND

We have a hospitality event coming up for Aquatica! September 14-16, you and up to 3 guests can go free to Aquatica. Please RSVP on the hospitality perks website by September 10th. You will have to check in at a table in front of the park between the hours of 10am-1pm.

Legoland will be closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting September 12. Brick or Treat starts October 14th on weekends only. Please keep in mind that the water park will be closed weekdays starting September 5th. The maps we have are wrong for October–water park will be open on weekends only from 11-5.

September is Magical Dining month! Many restaurants in Orlando offer a set price (usually $30-$35 per person) for those who want to enjoy a special menu. Talk of the Town is participating with Johnnys and Charley’s having 3 course meals for $30 per person. Talk to your guests since this is a limited time offer and book them through open table. Don’t forget to give your coupons!

ATTRACTION FOCUS

This month’s focus is on DINNER SHOWS. Have you gotten a chance to experience one of the many that we have here in Orlando? Please make sure to reach out to Cristina (cristinaf@pirates-town.com) for your VIP card so that you can see Pirates, Treasure Tavern or Cirque Magique for FREE.

We sell Medieval Times, Mangos, Pirates, Sleuths, Titanic Experience, Treasure Tavern, and Wonderworks Combo (admission and dinner show)!! We also have coupons for guests to get 50% off at Capones! These are an EASY add on to your sales, especially now that it’s slower at the parks and they close earlier. A lot of times, your location will have a menu for these shows so show them to your guests if they are trying to decide which one to do.

Mangos

A few quick notes about our Mango’s vouchers:

  • We receive $3.50 for every voucher we sell. Make sure that your name is on the voucher to receive credit.
  • This show involves LASERS and strobe lights. Please mention this to your guests in case they suffer from vertigo or seizures.
  • You MUST CALL Mango’s to ensure a VIP seat for your guests.
  • Guests get VIP seating, a 3 course meal and a free glass of wine or champagne with our voucher.

UNIVERSAL

Please make sure you use the filter on the left hand side of the Ticket Store in Universal’s Instant Ticket Wizard when printing Universal tickets. This will dramatically reduce the mistakes that are being made. Remember we are in VALUE season.

NON-PREMIER TEAMS- All employees are now Super Users and should now have access to ALL ticket stores (Vistana, Gifting, Guest Services, and Diamond).  It’s very important that if you are working ANY Vistana locations (including Radisson, Sheraton, and the Clarion) that you use the Vistana Store when printing ANY Universal tickets.  We must improve our Universal sales at these locations and this improvement must be generated through the Vistana Store.  If you have any questions, please ask a lead or your team manager.  Thank you!

FL Dolphin Tours and Grayline – Please make sure that your guests are aware of the refund policy for these tours.  They are totally NON-REFUNDABLE and in fact many are charged a fee if they do not show up for the tour or if they cancel less than 24 hours before a tour.  For some out of town tours, they cannot cancel more than 72 hours in advance or NOT AT ALL!  If the guest doesn’t follow these procedures, THEY WILL BE CHARGED A CANCELLATION FEE.  Please refer to Florida Dolphin Tours or Grayline’s websites and become familiar with these fees.  Be sure that your guest is aware of them.  Thank you.

REGULAR season ticket.  Sunday and later, charge for and print the VALUE
season ticket. “4 PARK MAGIC TICKET” HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH AUGUST 23RD – Originally this ticket was slated to stop on July 30th, but it has now been extended to sell through August 23rd. As usual, all 4 Days must be used within 14 days of the first date of use. However, if the guest purchases it and doesn’t start using it, they must have all days used by September 30th. ONLY THE 1 DAY HOPPER, 2 DAY BASE AND 2 DAY HOPPER GET THE WATER PARK FREE AFTER 2.

Have you been telling guests about Blue Man Group and Volcano Bay to boost your commission? This is an easy way for your guests to get the most of their Universal experience. Universal is offering a new “Promo” ticket. If anyone purchases a 3 Park Universal Ticket for 2, 3, or 4 Days, you will now print the 4 Day Promo Tickets at the bottom of the page in Universal Instant Ticket Wizard.  This is a temporary special that will be continuing through November 30th.  The only time you will print a regular 3 Park ticket is for a 5 Day ticket, or if you are in gifting, the 3 Park 7 Day Gifting ticket.

LEGOLAND

Please make sure to RSVP for the LEGOLAND training. Please talk to a manager if you have any questions. Our LEGOLAND promotion (water park free) has been extended until September 4th. Push this ticket!! If they do not have transportation, you can schedule them the free shuttle. This ticket should be promoted to families with small children and any LEGO fans. As far as Legoland and the I-Drive 360 attractions, we have DAILY problems with those of you selling and printing BOGO tickets. Many of you are putting the right tickets in POS and printing the wrong ones, or vice versa. If you are unclear on this, PLEASE CALL A LEAD OR MANAGER before making the sale.

Cell phones use is FORBIDDEN WHEN WORKING.  All managers will be checking for this and anyone using their cell phones at the desk will reprimanded and/or terminated.  We are getting far too many complaints from our hotel managers about those of you who are not following this policy.  The ONLY EXCEPTION is if your hotel phone is down.  Otherwise, save your personal calls for your break time and make the calls out of guest view.  Cell phones should be put in a drawer or purse and on silent while working.

August 4th, 2017 – Have you RSVP’d for Disney, LEGOLAND, and Adrenaline Media trainings?

Next week is the Disney training on the 7th and 8th. If you have RSVP’d remember to show up early to get registered. If you RSVP’d, you must go.  We had 30 people who RSVP’d for the last one who didn’t go.  This makes us look very bad and Disney has to pay for all of the “No Shows”.  If you can’t make it, be sure to e-mail your manager to let them know.

August 7th starts VALUE season on one day tickets. Have you been telling guests about Blue Man Group and Volcano Bay to boost your commission? This is an easy way for your guests to get the most of their Universal experience. Universal is offering a new “Promo” ticket.  For any 3 PARK ticket other than the 5 Day or Gifting Tickets(Base or PTP), you will print the “3-Park 4-Day Base Promo” or “3-Park 4-Day Park-to-Park Promo” tickets in Instant Ticket Wizard.  This ticket is offered to us at a lower cost so be sure to print these tickets for all guests wanting a 3 PARK 2, 3, or 4 Day Base or PTP ticket.  If you are in Gifting, continue to print the 3-Park 7-Day Park-to-Park Gifting ticket for any 3 Park Universal sales.

LEGOLAND

LEGOLAND is having a training session on August 22-24, 29-31 from noon to 2:30. Registration deadline is August 11th. RSVP to monica.cardona@legoland.com with the date you are going. Attendees are invited to enjoy the park after the session and will receive complimentary tickets to return for another visit! This training will be held at the LEGOLAND Florida Resort. Attendees MUST RSVP in order to attend. Reservations are limited; you will not be able to change your date once selected. You will receive additional details with confirmation. PLEASE EMAIL RICK TO GET YOUR PARKING PASS.

New Hire Orientations will be held next Wednesday, 8/9 from 3:30 – 5:30 at Moonfish on Sand Lake Road.  If you have been hired recently and not been through orientations, you are required to attend.  Dinner will be served and you will be paid.

Budget your money!  Many of you have made some great money over the summer, but as anyone who’s been in the business knows, once school starts we really drop off.  So PREPARE yourself for this and be sure to set some money aside so you can get through the slow month of September

Many of you are getting very lax with your uniforms, and we will not and cannot allow this.  You need to look professional!  Again, here are the MANDATORY uniform requirements for each team:  PREMIER – Black Jacket/Blazer (MUST BE WORN), black dress slacks (no jeans or spandex material), white button down profession looking shirt/blouse (no t-shirts or tight fighting shirts), black dress shoes (no tennis shoes) and nametag.  VIP – Same as Premier, but also with the AGS scarf or tie.  AGS/Activity Link Team – Black or khaki slacks (no jeans or spandex material), AGS oxford, dress shoes, AGS Nametag.  Attaction polos may be worn on SUNDAYS ONLY and the Orlando City oxfords may be worn on game days or one day before game days.  Gifting Team – Same as Activity Link, but no polos are allowed to be worn on Sundays.  Managers will be checking for proper uniforms and anyone not in uniform will be sent home without pay.
