November 9, 2018 – Volume 27.42 – NEW SEA WORLD TICKET PRICING EFFECTIVE 11/13

Effective Tuesday, 11/13, Sea World is taking a similar route with their tickets as Disney and Universal.  They will be offering an “Advance Purchase” price that is lower than their normal price as long as the guest buys them AT LEAST 3 DAY PRIOR to the date of visit.  For example, if they buy the tickets on a MONDAY, they would be able to start using them on THURSDAY.  If a guest wants to go SAME DAY, you will sell the Anytime tickets.  We will be doing online price matches as well.  The POS system should be loaded and ready for sales starting Tuesday, 11/13.

MICKEY’S VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS PARTY (MVMCP)

We are now selling MVMCP tickets.  These tickets work the same as the MNSSHP tickets.  Guests with our tickets are allowed to enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4 pm.  IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO LET ANY GUESTS GOING TO THE MAGIC KINGDOM ON AN EVENT NIGHT THAT THE PARK CLOSES AT 6 PM!  Make sure you are giving out the “Times and Information” to every guest and highlight this.  Upcoming dates are 11/12, 11/13, 11/15, and 11/6.  These nights are a great alternative to going to the park during the day.  The park is less crowded and there are special Christmas parades and fireworks.  In addition, for every 10 tickets sold during a 2 week pay period, we will be giving a $20 bonus!

DISNEY DATE BASED TICKETS

So far you all have done a great job with selling these tickets.  However, we have had at least 5 situations where irate guests have called the office from the Park because they couldn’t get in.  Most of these situations are happening around the 1 Day Tickets.  Guys, IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU ASK THE GUEST WHAT DATE THEY WILL BE GOING TO THE PARK.  If you are selling tickets at 5:30 pm, do you think the guests would really want to go to the park that day?  This actually happened and we had an irate guest that went to the park the following day and we had to refund money to AND give free tickets.  You MUST ASK what date they will be going to the park and print that date, not the day you are selling them.

BLUE MAN GROUP – SPECIAL OFFERS

We will be starting a special offer for Blue Man Group.  Basically for every FULL PRICED Tier 1 Fri/Sat Adult ticket purchase, we will be giving a free ticket.  We will also be offering special prices if BMG is purchased with a Universal ticket.  Universal was nice enough to give us a lower rate on BMG, but ONLY if we increase sales.  Anytime you are selling Universal tickets, you should always try to add BMG to the sale and offer a discount.

ENTERPRISE RENTAL CARS

How many of you are recommending a rental car to your guests?  If a guest is constantly taking taxis or Ubers, recommend a rental car through Enterprise.  The rates are reasonable (sometimes as low as $20/day) and it allows your guests a lot of flexibility.  Plus if they want to go to the beach or Kennedy Space Center and they don’t want to take Grayline or Florida Dolphin Tours, have them rent a car!  Remember, you can use the link on the AGS homepage to make the booking.  Also, ALL RENTALS MUST BE PUT IN THE POS.  Some of you are forgetting to do this.  Remember, Enterprise has to be used FIRST, followed by Dollar/Thrifty/Hertz.  These are our ONLY approved companies.  And anyone using a non-approved company (unless they are in the lobby of your hotel) will be terminated.

ACTIVITY LINK USERS – FREE 1 DAY I-RIDE TROLLEY TICKETS

For those of you on Activity Link, there seems to be some confusion on the Free I-Ride Trolleys with the purchase of a Sea World ticket.  This is not optional.  When selling a ticket – no matter what hotel you are at (including 192) – YOU MUST PRINT A SEPARATE I-RIDE TROLLEY TICKET FOR EACH TICKET SOLD!  Don’t worry if the guest says they won’t use it.  Don’t worry if your guests are staying in Kissimmee.  You MUST print this voucher and give it to the guest.  Be sure you choose the FREE I-RIDE TROLLEY option in Activity Link, not the regular I-Ride vouchers.  Also, in the very near future, we will be rolling this out for all Universal tickets sold as well.

NEW AGS MINIMUM PAY RATES

In case you didn’t see the message sent in When to Work, we have decided to increase our minimum hourly rate and guarantee by $.50 per hour. So for those of you currently at $5.50 per hour, you will be paid at $6.00 per hour + commissions and our guaranteed hourly rate will increase to $10 per hour. If you are in your 90 day probationary period, you will be increased from $5 per hour to $5.50 per hour and then go to $6 per hour after 90 days. You will notice this on this weeks pay check and commission breakdown. Now, we don’t want you to get lazy! None of you should be happy making $10 per hour and you should be pushing for sales to average $15 per hour or more! This is just a way for us to make sure all of you are at least $10 per hour. CONGRATS!

SPORTING EVENTS

ORLANDO MAGIC UPCOMING GAMES – For those of you with the Magic Laminates, be sure you are keeping them handy and visible at your desk for your guests to see.  Upcoming games:  Friday, 11/9 – vs Washington Wizards; Wednesday 11/14 vs Philadelphia 76ers; Saturday, 11/17 vs LA Lakers; Sunday 11/18 vs NY Knicks.  Premier Team – call the Orlando Magic Tourism hotline for bookings and give your guest a voucher to pick up their tickets at Will Call.  All other teams, call your lead or Team Manager to book the tickets for you.  They will put the tickets in DropBox for you to print out and give to the guests.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS – We have yet to sell 1 ticket to the Tampa Bay Bucs games.  Make sure your guests are aware that we sell these.  Any bookings must be done through an AGS manager.  Your guests must have a smart phone and an email address because they only have paperless entry and your guests must show the tickets on their phone for entry.  Premier Team must collect cash and keep it separate from your deposit.  All others, the pricing and tickets are in Activity Link.  Next Home Game – Sunday, 11/11, 1 pm vs. the Washington Redskins.

DINNER SHOWS

Again, dinner shows offer some of the highest commissions!  One of your Discovery Questions for your guests should be “Do you have any dinner plans?”  Then go into your pitch for Dinner Shows and/or Talk of the Town restaurants.  Talk about how they should make a memory with the family on vacation by going to see a 2 hour show with dinner, instead of just going to an Olive Garden.  It’s embarrassing that as a company we have only sold FOUR tickets to the Rock Dinner Show at the Orlando Forum.  We don’t care which ones you sell, but SELL SOME!  ROCK, MANGOS, SLEUTH’S MYSTERY DINNER SHOW, PIRATE’S DINNER ADVENTURE, WONDERWORKS COMEDY MAGIC SHOW OR MEDIEVAL TIMES.
