We are very excited to welcome Sheraton Vistana and Starwood as a partner and we welcome the entire staff that has joined the AGS team! We know that this is a difficult time, but we are here to help you and make this transition as smooth as possible. We’d also like to welcome Cindy Fuller, as an addition to the management team. Cindy will eventually be over all of the gifting teams! We know there will be some bumps along the way, but we will all get through it together. Again, WELCOME ABOARD!
ANA MARIA OUT 10/2 – 10/11
Ana Maria will be gone from 10/2 – 10/11. Please call any other manager during this time. Kymry will be doing the check-ins every morning except for Sunday.
RUMOR CLEAR UP
Vendors are spreading some rumors out there so we want to clear everything up. Armando has already met with the Gifting Team, so they are already aware of this. Diamond is taking back all of the ticketing at their resorts and training their OPC’s to sell tickets. They are starting with Liki Tiki on Wednesday, 10/7 and will go one by one with the slower resorts first, with a final target date of mid-December for Mystic Dunes. This is ALL very fluid and could change. The executives even admitted that if they see it is not working, they may ask AGS to come back into the resorts. What does this mean to you all? Nothing. You will still have your jobs with AGS. We have been short-staffed for so long that we intend on keeping all of you. We have more properties coming online so we should have a place for everyone.
WORKING WITH OPC’S – FIRST SHOT
Just a reminder that OPC’s get the first crack at every guest. If a guest comes to you first, you must say “Did you hear about the specials?” and refer them over. Make sure they are referring them back to you to sell tickets if they don’t qualify or they don’t book them. Please try to work well together and everyone can make money!
ORLANDO CITY TICKETS
The next home match is Saturday, 10/3 at 7:30 pm against the Montreal Impact. You may wear your Orlando City shirts on Saturday, or Friday if you are off on Saturday. Call Marc 407-506-7692
ORLANDO MAGIC TICKETS
Remember, we have 2 company tickets in Terrace B, Section 111, Row 8, Seats 13 and 14 on the aisle next to Section 112. If you need these tickets, call Rick S. or Kymry. For all other tickets, call Marc or any manager to book. You will no longer call the Magic directly. We will be able to access all available tickets. You will put it in the POS and CHARGE the guest. Once we book the tickets, we will put them in Drop Box and you will be able to print them out and give the guest the actual tickets. They will no longer need to go to Will Call. The first game is Saturday, October 3rd against the Charlotte Hornets at 7:00 pm. So make sure your guests are aware!
HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS
Let’s really try to get our guests into the 2 Day PTP w/HHN. The commission on this ticket is almost $10! So if anyone comes up asking about HHN, ask them about going to the parks during the day as well. Remember, with this ticket they can go to Universal and Islands of Adventure with PTP access for any 2 days during a 14 day period. They get ONE NON-SATURDAY HHN admission anytime during this 14 day period. Please make sure they know that they CANNOT do HHN on a Saturday!
READ TICKETS OUT LOUD TO GUEST!
We continue to have problems with guests getting the wrong tickets, particularly with Universal Studios. PLEASE read each ticket OUT LOUD to the guest and review them on the receipt as well.
MICKEY’S NOT SO SCARY – MNSSHP
First of all, hard tickets should no longer be at the locations. Those tickets were ONLY valid for dates in September. We can now book all dates in October. There are 2 rates – Fridays (and 10/29) and Sunday – Thursdays. Because we make no money on these tickets, we had to add a service charge, so when you quote the prices, you must say “Including the service charge, the price is….” All of these dates are subject to being sold out, and unlike the hard tickets, we cannot book for a sold out night (like 10/31). They will be non-refundable, and so of now, only the managers will be able to book these and put the actual tickets in Drop Box for you. They will not have to go to Will Call to get the tickets.
UPGRADE TICKETS
Let’s make sure we are asking discovery questions like “How long are you staying?” to try to get the best tickets sold. No one should walk away with One Day tickets without being explained the multi-day options and advantages of buying them.
DON’T FORGET CONVENTION TICKETS
Remember if you have anyone here on a convention or business meeting, you can offer them – and their families – the convention tickets. These are GOOD profit tickets and can help during the slow time. Make sure they are qualified!
