We really appreciate those of you who work so hard, show up on time, do a great job in sales, act and look professional, and represent us so well. THANK YOU! But we hear some complaints sometimes that we would like to address. First of all, we want all of you to know we have an open door policy! Of course we are all busy, but if you have an issue that you would like addressed, instead of complaining to others about it, call a manager and we will set up a meeting with you. If you are not making the kind of money that you feel like you should be, take a look at yourself. Are you doing everything possible to maximize sales? Are you greeting guests in the lobby? Do you portray a positive attitude about your job and smile to your guests? Are you focusing on the right tickets to sell? If you are not doing these things, then you should be blaming yourself – not the company. When we have a brand new employee that has a great attitude making $150 in commissions on a shift, when we have an employee going into a hotel that normally “blanks” in sales and he makes $130 in commissions – this shows us that it is not the company or the hotel. Sometimes it’s the employee and the attitude that affects sales. If you feel like your sales skills are lacking, we – your leads and managers – will ALWAYS help you with this. Reach out to them to give you pointers and suggestions!
