February 17th, 2017 – Volume 26.59 – Know Your Ticket Season

Guests Dolphin Swim Experience

ATTRACTION FOCUS

Hopefully, everyone was able to make it to one of the Discovery Cove training classes because we were able to learn quite a bit! We can sell a day resort for only $138 a person (this is including tax and does NOT include admission to any other park). This is a special promotion for AGS so every guest you encounter should know about this deal. There are a few options when selling Discovery Cove (Dolphin Swim, SeaVenture, Dolphin Swim) so take the time to explain each one to your guest who may not know about them.

Keep in mind, the Discovery Cove incentive is still in effect unt

Grand Reef

il March. Be sure to sell a minimum of $3000 to earn 2 tickets! If your guests do not wish to do the dolphin swim, let them know about all the other animals they can still see while there. The bird aviary is fun for kids and adults alike! Feed the birds and see how many different types of birds you can find. Relax in the Wind Away River or Serenity Bay. My favorite area was the Grand Reef, where you could easily spot giant stingrays and colorful fish swimming along the artificial coral reef.

WALT DISNEY WORLD

PEAK WEEKEND FEB. 18-20 WITH REGULAR SEASON STARTING FEB. 21. FEB. 27 IS VALUE. You should be asking your guests what day they are visiting the park if it is just a ONE DAY ticket.

– All ticket prices have INCREASED with the exception of the One Day Magic Kingdom Peak (which remains the same) and the 2 Day Base which has decreased.

Epcot Spaceship Earth

– Disney is offering an Advance Purchase Discount of $20 off for 3 Day Tickets and higher. We have priced the 3 Day and Higher tickets at GATE PRICE, but WE WANT YOU TO DO A PRICE MATCH IF THE GUEST MENTIONS IT AND GIVE THE $20 DISCOUNT. DO NOT LOSE A SALE!

– The Water Park Fun & More option has been eliminated and will now be called “PLUS”. However, if a guest wants to add this to the ticket, the HOPPER OPTION must be included as well. The options will ONLY be BASE, HOPPER, AND HOPPER “PLUS”. There will no longer be a base ticket that includes the “PLUS”. The “PLUS” option works the same as the old WPF option. In other words, the number of visits matches the number of days purchased for the MAJOR parks, with the exception of the One Day which gives 2 PLUS visits. As of now, the PLUS will include visits to Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, DisneyQuest (which closes July 2nd), ESPN’s Wide World of Sports, Winter/Summerland Mini Golf (before 4 pm), Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf (before 4 pm), and Oak Trail Golf Course. Guests are not allowed to visit both Winter/Summerland and Fantasia Gardens on the same day.

– Disney Convention tickets will now offer THREE partial day options – After 2, After 5, and After 2 with Park Hopper. The After 3 has been eliminated.

– Although the price increase was effective 2/12, the ACTUAL TICKET CHANGES WILL NOT TAKE AFFECT UNTIL OPENING SHIFT ON WEDNESDAY, 2/22. So all of the ticket changes (including the Convention Tickets) will not be in your POS until the morning of 2/22.

UNIVERSAL

Mardi Gras is in full effect at Universal! Not only do guests get to see the parade with it’s fun floats, but they can enjoy the concerts on weekends as well. The concerts and event are INCLUDED with park admission. Please refer to THIS SITE for the concert schedule as some shows are on Saturdays and some on Sundays. Remember that this event is ONLY IN UNIVERSAL. Talk this up with all guests and try making the ticket a park to park! Add on Blue Man Group tickets to your sale to boost your commission.

UNIVERSAL PEAK WEEKEND IS FEB. 18-20. FEB. 21ST STARTS VALUE SEASON.  We need to clarify that you CANNOT print the 7 Day Base or PTP tickets and charge for the 2 Day Base or PTP tickets. Because these are at the “Promo” price in the POS, we are actually losing money when this happens. If you are giving the guest at 7 Day Base or PTP ticket, they must be entered in the POS as that and not as 2 Day tickets. Thank you!
