April 1, 2016 – Volume 26.13 – READ EACH TICKET OUT LOUD

We continue to have mistakes being made that could be caught and avoided if you READ EACH TICKET OUT LOUD TO THE GUEST AS YOU HAND THEM OVER. It only takes a few seconds and this is your last opportunity to catch and correct any mistakes that are made. The most common ones we are seeing is charging for Universal BASE tickets but printing Park-to-Park tickets and charging for REGULAR or VALUE Disney One Day Tickets and printing PEAK tickets. This was your time to make money, and we hate having to make deductions that can be avoided. Please take the time to READ EACH TICKET OUT LOUD TO THE GUEST ON THE DISNEY “CONGRATULATIONS” PAGE and match it to the POS receipt.

DISNEY “REGULAR” STARTS 4/3
Speaking of ONE DAY DISNEY SALES, starting Sunday, April 3rd, Disney is DROPPING TO “REGULAR” SEASON. When selling tickets in the POS and printing tickets In Disney Ticket Connection, make sure you are choosing “REGULAR” for both.

5th DAY FREE – HOPPERS/PREMIUM ONLY
Again, we are not offering a 5th Day Free on the 4 Day BASE ticket anymore, but we ARE offering it on 4 Day Hoppers or Premiums. If you offer this to someone that is buying a 4 Day Hopper, be sure to put it in as the POS as a 5 Day and edit the price using the pencil down to the 4 Day Hopper price.

UNIVERSAL MULTI-DAYS WITH WET ‘N WILD
When selling ANY 2 Day or higher Universal PARK-TO-PARK tickets with Wet ‘n Wild, be sure to PRINT THE 3 PARK UNLIMITED TICKET. Our cost is LOWER on this ticket and this way you can offer your guests UNLIMITED visits to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure AND Wet ‘n Wild for 14 consecutive days instead of only 2 days. This ONLY applies to 2 Day and higher PTP w/WNW tickets and does NOT apply to BASE tickets. Print all Base tickets with Wet ‘n Wild as sold.

DISNEY INCENTIVE STARTINGhello-spring[1]
We will be announcing an exciting NEW Disney revenue incentive for 3 Day and higher tickets for the month of April. More details to come!

DISNEY CONVENTION TICKETS
We still have a limited number of the After 4, After 2, and 2 Day After 2 Convention Tickets available at the following locations: Radisson Celebration, Sheraton LBV, Staybridge Suites, Embassy Suites and Oasis. If you have guests here on conventions that you want to offer these tickets to, please call the hotel nearest to you and see if they are available. Then they can be transferred to you by a manager or runner.

UNIVERSAL 3RD DAY FREE ENDING
Keep in mind that the last day to print and sell the 3rd Day Free on Universal tickets will be April 12th. Anyone that has tickets by that date will be able to use them through 5/31, but all portions of the ticket must be used entirely by 5/31.

Logo_Disney-TyphoonLagoon[1]DISNEY WATER PARK TICKETS
Please be sure to keep the OLDEST dates on top to sell FIRST, and be sure to sell any tickets that say “Typhoon Lagoon OR Blizzard Beach” FIRST. All of the tickets we have currently will only be valid through 5/27. At that time, we go into a “Peak” Season ticket that will be $5 more and we will need to trade out all inventory.

BLIZZARD BEACH CLOSED 4/3-4/5
Due to maintenance issues, Blizzard Beach will be closed from Sunday 4/3 – Tuesday, 4/5. They are scheduled to re-open on Wednesday, 4/6. Be sure to let any guests know this that purchase the WPF option or individual water park tickets.

SLOWER SEASON IS COMING
This week is then end of Spring break. With it slowing down, we want all of you to concentrate on your sales and guest relations skills. First of all, when you’re not busy at the desk, we want ALL of you to act as greeters! Get out from behind the desk and greet people in the lobby. Welcome your guests to the hotel, pass out stickers to the kids, introduce yourself as the Concierge and make sure they know you are there to help them with any information and tickets. Ask Discovery Questions and upgrade your sales!

orlandocityORLANDO CITY SOCCER
The next home match will be Sunday, 4/3 against the defending MLS Champion Portland Timbers at 8 pm. We still have 9 company seats available – Section 101 Corner Level Pricing – and if you sell ANY of these seats, you will get an additional $10 in commission!

March 25, 2016 – Volume 26.12 – UPGRADE TICKETS – MAKE MORE MONEY!

We need all of you to make more of an effort to upgrade tickets. Many of you are just being lazy and only giving the guest what’s asked for instead of explaining all of the options available. We are selling FAR LESS Disney hopper tickets than we should be. Here are some tips on how to add Hopping to your base ticket sales and what you should be telling your guests: 1) This is a VERY busy time of year and many of the parks will be extremely crowded. If you have the HOPPER option, you can leave a park that’s overly crowded and visit another with less crowds. For example, you can tell your guests if the Magic Kingdom is too crowded, they can visit Epcot using the Monorail or Animal Kingdom using the Disney buses, and then return to the Magic Kingdom in the evening when people start leaving. 2) Epcot is a MUST see with the Flower and Garden Festival, but if the family has small kids, they may see all they want too. So instead of wasting the rest of the day, you can take the Monorail back to the Magic Kingdom to see Wishes, the Main Street Electrical Parade, and the Celebrate the Magic Night-time Spectacular (make sure you check the “Times and Information” to give accurate information). 3) Animal Kingdom usually closes at 7 pm, so instead of wasting the rest of the evening, the HOPPER options offers the opportunity to go back to the Magic Kingdom to watch the night shows, or Epcot for Illuminations, or Hollywood Studios for Fantasmic.
Don’t forget THAT FOR AN ADDITIONAL $26 YOUR GUESTS CAN ALSO ADD THE WATER PARK FUN & MORE OPTION! That’s HALF the price of ONE admission to a Water Park, and your guests get an EQUAL number of Fun Visits as the number of days purchased. For example, with a 5 Day ticket, they get 5 Fun Visits!

easter[1]

DISNEYQUEST TICKETS
Disney is no longer allowing us to order individual DisneyQuest tickets so what we have in inventory is all we have left. However, it will STILL be included with the Water Park Fun & More option until further notice.

DISNEY CONVENTION TICKETS
Disney has discontinued the After 4, After 2, and 2 Day After 2 tickets, so what we have at the locations is all we have. We will be consolidating them to a few strategic locations (I-Drive-Embassy Suites, LBV-Sheraton, 192 –Radisson Celebration), so if you have guests wanting them and your location doesn’t have them, give us some time to check and make sure they are available and a manager will transfer them to you. Also, if you have a sign with the prices on it, please take it down, because those prices no longer apply.

UNIVERSAL AND U TRAINING
Please go to universalandu.com to register for this training session. When doing so, you DO NOT need an access code. On the first line where it says “To RSVP for the…..click here”, click on “click here”. That will direct you to the registration page. Please do NOT ask for a full day off for these classes. Only ask off for the portion of the day that you will be attending the class.

LEGOLAND AND WATER PARK
Legoland is now open daily. The water park will also be open daily until 4/10.

Logo_Disney-TyphoonLagoon[1]DISNEY WATER PARK TICKETS
We are running low on Water Park tickets, but more have been ordered. Again, please look at your tickets. If you have any that say Typhoon Lagoon “OR” Blizzard Beach, they will only be good for ONE of the water parks. If they say “AND”, they can visit both of the water parks on the same day. All of the tickets we have currently will only be valid through 5/27.

FULL-TIME VS. PART-TIME AND APPLICABLE BENEFITS
Just a reminder that to be eligible for ANY benefits (group health, paid vacations, etc.) you must AVERAGE 30 hours or more.

Let’s make it a habit of going “Above and Beyond” for every guest! Do everything possible to make their experience with us the best ever! Smile and greet your guests pleasantly. Get out from behind the desk and mingle in the lobby with your guests. If they want to leave a positive comment, encourage them to do so on Trip Advisor for the property you are working at and on the AGS Facebook page as well.

DISNEY ANIMAL KINGDOM EVENT
Disney is having an event to introduce the “Rivers of Light” at Animal Kingdom on 4/19. Please do not ask for the entire day off for this event. We cannot let everyone have the night off as we still have to cover locations. Requests will be honored on a first come – first serve basis.

Clocks[1]Sunday morning at 2 am marks the beginning of Daylight Savings Time. PLEASE BE SURE TO TURN YOUR CLOCKS AHEAD 1 HOUR BEFORE GOING TO BED ON SATURDAY NIGHT. We cannot tolerate anyone being late on Sunday, as this is the beginning of our busy Spring Break time. So please be sure to turn your clocks ahead 1 hour!

NEW DISNEY ONE DAY ACTIVATION PROCEDURES
Effective 3/9, here is the new procedure for activating ONE DAY DISNEY tickets. Here’s what you need to do for ONE DAY PURCHASES ONLY (this does not apply to anyone purchasing multi-day tickets):

1) Ask your guest WHAT PARK THEY WILL BE VISITING
2) Ask your guest WHAT DATE THEY WILL BE VISITING THE PARK
3) Look at the Disney Calendar on the back of your Disney Pricing Mat to determine if the date of visit is Value, Regular or Peak. WE ARE CURRENTLY IN REGULAR THROUGH TOMORROW, 3/10, BUT EFFECTIVE FRIDAY, 3/11 THROUGH 4/2, WE WILL BE IN PEAK.
4) Swipe the “78” shell for Adults or “79” shell for Children
5) On the “Number of Days” drop-down, choose “1”
6) Based on THE DATE OF VISIT AND THE PARK, CHOOSE EITHER MAGIC KINGDOM PEAK, REGULAR, OR VALUE, OR NON-MAGIC KINGDOM PEAK, REGULAR OR VALUE
7) If they would like an OPTION – EITHER HOPPER OR WPF & MORE OR BOTH, check the corresponding box and choose “Base Tickets + Add-Ons” for PEAK, REGULAR OR VALUE BASED ON THE DATE OF VISIT TO ONE OF THE FOUR MAJOR PARKS. If you have any questions, please call a lead or manager.

RICK OUT FROM 3/12 – 3/20
He will not have access to a cell phone or e-mail, so please direct any questions or concerns to one of the other managers.

SPRING FORWARD!

NO MORE FREE DAYS ON DISNEY TICKETS
With the last Disney price increase, we will no longer be able to give a 5 Day Disney Base ticket for the price of a 4 Day ticket.

SECURITY CARELESSNESS
We have had a lot of problems lately with security procedures, and we take this very seriously. Unless your hotel does not have safety deposit boxes, all inventory should ALWAYS be kept in the safety deposit box behind the front desk, NOT in the safe under the desk. Also, when leaving the location be sure to double check to make sure all keys are locked up correctly and the safe is closed.

LEGOLAND AND WATER PARK
Legoland is now open daily. The water park opens TOMORROW, 3/12 and will also be open daily until 4/10.

USE COUNTERFEIT PENS
Please make sure you are using the counterfeit pens on all $100 bills and if a bill is questionable, hold it up to the light, look for the watermark on the right the embedded strip on the left that says “USA100”. If you are still in doubt, ask for a different bill.

CHIP READERS ON CREDIT CARDS
If you have a chip reader at your location, all cards MUST be processed using this. Also, be sure to right WHAT TICKETS WERE PURCHASED on every slip, as well as the ID number and room number.

NO EATING AT DESKS
There is to be absolutely NO EATING or gum chewing behind our desk. If you take a 5 minute break to eat a snack, it must be in a designated break area out of the guest’s view.

CELL PHONE USAGE
All cell phones should be on SILENT while working and should NEVER be used unless it’s an emergency. If you have a hotel phone at your desk, you should ALWAYS use the hotel phone. Texting and personal use of your cell phone during work hours should be limited to your break time and should NEVER be done when guests are present in the lobby.

DISCLOSE CONVENIENCE FEES
Do not lie! Be honest when asked!  The fee is now 10% on 1 and 2 Day Disney tickets.  How do you get the guests to still buy from you?  Tell them that with our tickets, they can set up their Fast Passes in advance and they can go straight to the turnstiles without waiting in line.

CHECK DATES ON TICKETS
Please be sure to check the dates on your Pre-activated Hard Ticket Inventory and make sure the OLDEST dates are on top to sell FIRST. You should be doing this for Water Parks, DisneyQuest and Convention tickets. This is especially important for the Disney Convention tickets because they expire at the end of this year.

Logo_Disney-TyphoonLagoon[1]DISNEY WATER PARK TICKETS
With Typhoon Lagoon opening 3/20, BOTH Water Parks will be open and your guests may once again want to Water Park Hop. If you have any Water Park tickets that say “Typhoon Lagoon OR Blizzard Beach”, be sure to sell them prior to 3/20. Put them on top. The tickets that say “AND” are good anytime for both parks UNTIL 5/28.

March 4, 2016 – Volume 26.09 – DISNEY TICKET UPDATE

Disney TicketsWe know that many of you are confused about the changes to the Disney tickets, and hopefully when you go through your training next week, it will be cleared up. Here are the most important points: 1) For all ONE DAY SALES, you must ask your guests WHAT DATE they will be visiting the park. It doesn’t matter when they’re purchased or printed; it goes by the visit date. If they are unsure, they should buy the peak visit because it will be valid ANY DATE. For the near future, the price goes to REGULAR pricing ($5 more than Value) starting Friday, March 4th – Thursday, March 10th. March 11th – April 2nd will be Peak, which is $19 more than Value for Magic Kingdom. For Non-Magic Kingdom, tickets are $17 more for Peak. Any ONE day ticket with an option also has the tiered pricing and they must pay based on the date that they will be visiting the MAJOR park. 2) All ONE day tickets that are NOT USED will expire at the end of the FOLLOWING calendar year. For instance, if a guest gets gifted a One Day Magic Kingdom on 3/11/16 and they decide not to go to the park, the ticket will expire 12/31/2017. If a guest ends up getting a lower tiered ticket and they end up going on a Peak date, they will be stopped at the turnstile and made to upgrade to the Peak price based on retail pricing, i.e. if they have a Value ticket and go on a Peak date, they will have to upgrade and pay the additional $19 + tax.  Anyone that has a PEAK ticket will be able to use in on ANY date.  3) There is NO tiered pricing on ANY multi-day ticket and the guest will be free to visit any park on any day. As usual, all days must be used within 14 days. The multi-day tickets have also had a price increase, so be aware that they are priced higher. If a guest is going to Magic Kingdom on any multi-day ticket, it will ALWAYS be cheaper for them to get the multi-day ticket, instead of individual tickets. The ONLY EXCEPTION is if a guest is doing TWO Non-Magic Kingdom parks, it will be cheaper for them to do TWO ONE DAY TICKETS instead of getting a 2 Day BASE ticket. We know this is a lot of information so please call a lead or manager if you have questions.

orlandocityORLANDO CITY IS BACK 3/6!

RENTAL CARS – TERMINATIONS
We want to remind each of you that we have ZERO tolerance for anyone not following the proper procedures for renting cars. We have shopped and fired people in the past and we will continue to do so. Dollar/Thrifty must be used FIRST. All rental cars reservations MUST be put in the POS and a voucher must be created. You must go to “Referrals – Transportation” and put in all of the information, including the guest’s name, reservation number, rental dates and price quoted. This is the only way we can make sure you get paid properly. Anyone not following these procedures or taking rental car commissions without it going through the office will be terminated.

CREDIT CARD SLIPS
We have been getting a LOT of chargebacks lately, and we are noticing that some of you aren’t writing ANYTHING on the slips. Remember, these 3 things MUST be written on each slip: 1) The quantity and types of tickets purchased (you can abbreviate); 2) The guest’s room number and 3) The ID number. This information helps us when we get a chargeback as well as if a guest calls with a question on a charge. Also, remember if you have selling to more than 4 people in a party, all members of the party MUST be in front of you. Tell them you need all of their names and they have to sign their Disney tickets.

PLEASE REQUEST HARD TICKETS
Many of you seem to be low on Water Park or Convention tickets. Please be sure to request these along with any supplies you need through the “Supplies Request Form” in the left column of the AGS Homepage. This should be a part of your daily routine.

February 26, 2016 – Volume 26.08 – STILL HIRING!

We are still looking for GREAT people to join the AGS Team! If you know of anyone that LOVES the theme parks, has an outgoing personality, is dependable and responsible, and can work ANYTIME, including nights and weekends, please have them call the office to set up an interview.

GET OUT FROM BEHIND THE DESK
It looks like we may have a slower spring than anticipated so let’s really work on getting out from behind the desk and greeting guests in the lobby. Act as the Hotel Ambassador! Make sure they know you are the Concierge and you are there to assist them with any questions they may have about the area and attractions. Also, be sure you let them know that you have attraction tickets available as well. Pass out stickers to the kids. ENGAGE with the guests! You will see your sales increase!

Logo_Disney-TyphoonLagoon[1]WATER PARKS CLOSED FOR COLD
We are expecting all Water Parks to be closed through Friday due to forecasted low temperatures. Again, any time you sell a ticket that includes a Water Park, check the weather forecast and let the guest know that if the temperatures drop below 70 degrees, there is the possibility of them closing and there are NO REFUNDS. Also, don’t forget that Typhoon Lagoon is CLOSED and will be re-opening on 3/13. Make sure you tell any guests this that buys any Disney Water Park tickets.

SUGGEST DINNER SHOWS
Let’s make it a habit of asking every family that comes to your desk “Do you have any dinner plans while you’re here?” Be sure if your hotel has a restaurant that you refer them there FIRST. Then go into your pitch about dinner shows. Tell them that for the price of a nice dinner out, they should get 2 hours of entertainment as well. If they have kids, suggest Medieval Times or Pirates. If it’s couples or people with no kids suggest Treasure Tavern or Sleuth’s. Always suggest Sleuth’s when selling I-Drive 360 attractions. It’s next door!

ORLANDO CITY IS BACK 3/6!

COMFORT INN 192, CLARION SUITES MAINGATE, BAYMONT
If you work at ANY of these 3 locations, please be sure to take your deposit at the end of your shift to Park Inn. When you go there, you MUST go behind the desk and have the person there WITNESS you dropping the deposit in the safe. Be sure to TURN THE HANDLE and the envelope drops to the bottom of the safe.

PLEASE FILL OUT LOG SHEETS
Many of you are not putting your hours on the log sheet. Before putting your log sheet in the drop envelope, please DOUBLE CHECK to make sure that EVERYTHING is filled out completely, including your name, location and hours.

HOSPITALITY PERKS
Everyone is now loaded into the system and you can begin taking the assessment test for Sea World’s Hospitality Perks. Again, here are the instructions: 1) Go to www.hospitalityperks.com; 2) Click on “2016 Assessment Now Open – Click Here”. DO NOT click on Login! 3) Click on “Need an Account”. DO NOT enter your e-mail and password from last year! 4) Enter your e-mail from When to Work TWICE. You will then be directed to enter your personal information and you will be ready to take the assessment test. Just a reminder that when you take your voucher to redeem it for your Fun Card, your guest MUST be with you.

LEGOLAND NOW OPEN DAILY
Legoland is now open 7 days a week until September 6th. The Water Park will be re-opening 3/12. Don’t forget to mention the FREE bus when booking! And you must tell your guests that if they take the bus, they have to get to the Bus Stop behind the Orlando Eye on their own. Please make sure they understand this!

Sea WorldSUGGEST SEA WORLD
We have seen a decline in our Sea World sales and we are finding that some of you are saying the wrong things to our guests. If they ask if our prices are the same as at the gate, they ARE NOT. Our prices are $20 LESS than the gate price! So if a guest asks if we have discounted tickets, your answer is YES!

orlandocityORLANDO CITY SOCCER 3/6
The first match for Orlando City is Sunday, 3/6 against Real Salt Lake. We want to do our part to FILL THE BOWL AGAIN! Let’s suggest these tickets to every guest. We want to FIRST suggest our 12 company seats to the guest. These are in Section 101 – CORNER LEVEL. Orlando City has given us an even BETTER rate this year, so you will be making even MORE commissions! Call Marc or any manager to book any Orlando City tickets. GO CITY!

February 19. 2016 – Volume 26.07 – WELCOME KEITH!

We are excited to announce the addition of Keith Henderson to the AGS Management team! Keith comes to us from Hilton Grand Vacations and will be heading up the Dual/OPC Team as well as helping with training. Keith will be concentrating on visiting the dual locations – increasing tour production as well as getting caught up on the back pay owed for booked tours. Please join us in welcoming Keith to the team and give him the same respect as you would any of the other managers.

DISNEY PRICE INCREASE EXPECTED
Keep in mind that we are expecting an increase in Disney prices in the near future. Please remind any guests you have calling in advance that more than likely, prices will increase very shortly.

2 WEEKS FOR DAY OFF REQUESTS
All of the managers are working very hard at trying to get the schedule out 2 weeks ahead of time. The only problem is we continue to get Day Off requests at the last minute. Effective immediately, all day off requests must be received at least 2 weeks in advance to be approved. Any requests not received this far in advance will be subject to denial at our discretion and you will be expected to work.

PRICES IN TICKET STORES
When printing tickets out of any of the ticket stores – Sea World, Universal, Merlin – the prices that you see are inputted directly by us and you are to use them as a reference only. Sometimes when there is a price change, we don’t have time to change all of the prices in the stores, but we DO change the prices in the POS. So always just go by the price in the POS to quote to your guests.

SICK CALLS / NOTICE
Again, you must talk to a manager if you are sick – NO TEXTS, E-MAILS or VOICEMAILS. When leaving the company, you must give 2 weeks written notice in order to receive all commissions due to you. Any less than 2 weeks will result in a minimum wage check.

DAYTONA 500 THIS SUNDAY!

UNIVERSAL TICKETS – REPORTS
We continue to have the most problems with Universal tickets. You MUST read each ticket OUT LOUD to the guest as you hand them over. Please be sure to match up your Universal Summary Report with your POS report. If they don’t match, you must run a DETAIL report and return the FIRST SET of any duplicate tickets. Also, don’t forget the LAST DAY to sell the 3rd Day Free tickets is April 12th. All days on the tickets must be used by 5/31.

RENTAL CARS – APPROVED
We still have secret shoppers calling and visiting out desks on a regular basis. We want to remind all of you that Dollar/Thrifty is the FIRST company to be used for rentals. Action, Enterprise, and now Advantage/E-Z are also approved as a back-up. All car rentals must be put in the POS and a voucher must be produced and put in your deposit envelope. You will be paid 30% of the commission on Dollar/Thrifty, Action, and Advantage/E-Z, and 25% on Enterprise. NO ONE is allowed to accept cash commissions or any commission paid to you directly. All payments must be through the AGS office. It will be considered STEALING if you do not follow these procedures and you will be terminated.

APPROACHING 90 DAYS
If you are full time and are approaching your 90 days with the company, it is important that you ask for your Group Health Insurance enrollment. We also can allow you to enroll in a 401K. Please make a point to ask Rick about this if you are close to your 90 days.

HOSPITALITY TICKETS
Everyone has been submitted to the Sea World Hospitality Perks program using the e-mail you have in When to Work. We will let you know when you’ve been loaded into the system and can begin taking your assessment test. Also, don’t forget that if your Disney Hospitality Pass is within 30 days of expiring, you can re-apply for a new Hospitality Pass by logging in to www.disneyhospitalitydays.com and entering the company code: YP49HE4N.

Please e-mail marcc@allguest.com to RSVP.

February 12, 2016 – Volume 26.06 – NOW HIRING!

We are looking for some great people to join our team! If you know of anyone that has an outgoing personality, loves the theme parks and attractions, is responsible and dependable, and can work anytime, including nights and weekends, please have them call the office to set up an interview. Also we need some volunteers to move over to the gifting team. If you like seeing a lot of people and working in a high volume environment, and you’re very organized consider moving to the gifting team! Please call Cindy or Armando if you’re interested.

UNIVERSAL PRICE INCREASE
As you all know, Universal increased their prices effective 2/10. All prices have already been changed in the POS. Armando is working on changing the VIP lists and all other collateral that has printed prices. If a guest looks at our old prices, you need to point out that all of our material says “Prices Subject to Change”, and you need to let them know that they went up on 2/10. For those of you at the resorts with the old VIP list, if you have a guest that pushes back, we will honor the price if absolutely necessary to keep from getting an upset or irate guest – at least through March 13th. As a reminder, if in the POS it says “$20 Off”, the price ALREADY INCLUDES THE $20 DISCOUNT AND YOU DO NOT GIVE AN ADDITIONAL DISCOUNT.  Also, if you have a guest asking in advance about Disney prices, you should encourage them to buy now, because we all know that Disney will be raising their prices soon as well.

Logo_Disney-TyphoonLagoon[1]WATER PARK CLOSURES
Any time that you sell a ticket that includes a Water Park, please look at the weather forecast and let your guests know if cold weather is expected. You must tell them that if the temperatures drop below 70, there is a chance that the water parks may close, and if they purchase a ticket with a water park, they are doing so at their own risk. We CANNOT refund any portion of a used ticket that includes a water park. Also, you must tell guests getting Disney Water Park tickets that Typhoon Lagoon is closed through 3/12.

happy president's day[1]HAPPY PRESIDENTS DAY!

ORLANDO FLEXTICKETS
Obviously with the change in the Sea World tickets (we no longer have the Sea World/Aquatica Length of Stay tickets), we can no longer match the 5 Park Orlando FlexTicket. How can you get around this? Let your guests know that with OUR 6 Park FlexTicket, they will get FREE parking for Sea World, Aquatica, AND Busch Gardens, so for the additional $20 they pay for the 6 Park ticket, the free parking for Sea World ($17) and Aquatica ($13) will more than make up for the difference. What tickets do you print for the 6 Park Flex? Universal – 3 Park Unlimited and Sea World – Choose Your Adventure: Unlimited Visits with FREE parking. If a guest ABSOLUTELY insists on the 5 Park Flex, we have it priced $10 LOWER than the Gate Price because we CANNOT give unlimited visits to Sea World and Aquatica. You MUST tell your guests that with our 5 Park Bundle, the will only get 1 VISIT EACH to Sea World and Aquatica. You then print the 3 Park Unlimited Universal ticket and the SW/AQ COMBO ticket.

CODES – CALL THE DAY BEFORE
Every day the MOD and Ana Maria gets BOMBARDED with phone calls starting at 7 am. To help alleviate this, please do us a favor and CALL THE OFFICE THE DAY BEFORE YOUR SHIFT to get codes for a new location that you are working.

GIVING NOTICE
We hope that all of you enjoy working with us and want to stay until you retire! However, we know this may not happen for everyone so we want to remind you of our “Separation” policy: A proper 2 WEEK written notice is required when parting ways with AGS. If a proper 2 WEEK notice is not given or I am terminated for any reason, I understand that I am forfeiting any commissions earned and my last paychecks will be paid out for the hours worked only at minimum wage. Final paychecks will not be a Direct Deposit. They will be LIVE checks and to be picked up in the office. Final checks will be issued with the return of AGS property, including shirts and nametags.

magiclogoUPCOMING ORLANDO MAGIC GAMES
Dallas Mavericks – Friday, 2/19 – Black Game; Indiana Pacers – Sunday, 2/21 –White Game; Golden State Warriors – Thursday, 2/25 – Black Game; 76ers – Sunday, 2/28 – Silver Game. All managers can book these games and now Dimary, Carlos and Rafael can also book for you.

PAPERWORK
You guys have been doing MUCH BETTER on the paperwork. Thanks! The only thing we still need to work on is matching up the Universal tickets with the POS. Remember, if the SUMMARY doesn’t match, you must print a DETAIL report and return the FIRST set of any duplicate tickets.

DISNEY FLORIDA RESIDENTS
Don’t forget we can still help guests with Florida Resident tickets! Click on the PICTURE at the bottom of the AGS Homepage. Follow the directions by entering how many adults and children for either 3 or 4 days (we do not sell the 1 day). Be sure to READ all of the disclosures and the Black Out dates to the guest. You DO NOT CHARGE THE GUEST, but you put their credit card information in and Disney charges the guest.  Print 2 copies of the confirmations – 1 for the guest and 1 for your deposit. Be sure to WRITE YOUR NAME on the copy you put in your deposit.

UPCOMING EVENTS IN ORLANDO

January 29, 2016 – Volume 26.04 – 25TH ANNIVERSARY APPRECIATION PARTY

We are very excited to see all of you that RSVP’d for this very special night! We will have great food, great entertainment, and some surprises! A few notes: FIRST – we are spending a lot of money for this event for you, which we are happy to do because you all deserve it! But since we are paying a PER PERSON price, if you RSVP’d, we expect you to be there. SECOND – The Magic have a SOLD OUT game that night that also starts at 7 pm. Please arrive early enough to find parking and be on time for the event. Although there are plenty of garages and places to park for $10 around the Performing Arts Center, you may have to park further uptown. If you do, you can always use the Lymmo Orange Line to get to the Dr. Phillips Center for free.

NEW LOG SHEETS
We have re-designed our Log Sheet to make them flow easier, but we are having some problems with people not filling out the starting sheet for the next person correctly. When you print it out for the next shift, all you have to fill out is the SHADED area – the beginning inventory and starting bank entered by, day and date, starting bank, and all of the starting inventory counts. We tried to make it easier for you by shading this area and making the border around it DARKER.

NEW LOCATIONS OPENING
We are excited to announce the acquisition of 2 new properties – Legacy Vacation Resort, which will go to the gifting team, and Windsor at Westside, which is part of the VIP Team. If you are working these locations, please get with Cindy and Marc respectively before your shift.

INTERVIEWING PROSPECTS
We are looking for GREAT prospects to join the AGS team! If you know of anyone that is OUTGOING, loves that attractions, is dependable and responsible, and can work ANYTIME, including nights and weekends, please have them call the office to set up an interview.

GH-3_thumb[5][1]HAPPY GROUND HOG DAY!

HEALTH INSURANCE UPDATE
All of you who enrolled for the Group Plan are now loaded into the system. If you have not yet received your temporary ID card, please let Rick know so he can send it to you.

CALLING OUT SICK PROCEDURES
There has been something going around and we’ve had a lot of people calling out sick in the last few weeks. We just want to remind all of you of the correct procedures: You must TALK to a manager – NO TEXTS, E-MAILS OR VOICEMAIL MESSAGES. If you don’t reach the MOD, then continue calling all managers until someone answers and you actually speak to them. Call as EARLY as possible. If you are working an AM shift and you don’t feel well the night before your shift, CALL THAT NIGHT. If you wake up feeling sick, call by NO LATER than 6 am for a 7 am shift. If you are sick in the middle of the night, wait until 6 am to call.

GREET GUESTS IN THE LOBBY
We can’t stress how important this is. We want each of you to get out from behind the desk and act as a “Hotel Ambassador”. Greet guests in the lobby with a pleasant greeting, SMILE, welcome them, and introduce yourself as the concierge. Let them know you are there to help them with any questions and you have the tickets available for them. If you are at the Vistana Resorts and there is no line, ONE of you should ALWAYS be in the lobby greeting guests.

magiclogoUPCOMING ORLANDO MAGIC GAMES
1/31 – Boston Celtics – Black Game – VERY LIMITED tickets available; 2/5 – LA Clippers – Black Game; 2/7 – Atlanta Hawks – White Game; 2/10 – San Antonio Spurs – Black Game. All managers can book these games and now Dimary can also book for you.

orlandocityORLANDO CITY SOCCER
Orlando City has once again chosen AGS to be the exclusive in-market Guest Service provider for their tickets! The season kicks off March 6th!

Sea WorldSUGGEST SEA WORLD!
Our sales on Sea World products are down from last year. Besides Merlin, all Sea World products are out HIGHEST profit single day time tickets that we sell. Sea World should be recommended to EVERY guest that wants to go to Magic Kingdom. Talk to your guests about how family friendly it is, yet they have 3 roller coasters for thrill seekers. But it’s also more relaxing to take in shows instead of waiting in line all day for rides at Disney. Let’s try to get those sales back up!

WAYS TO SELL DINNER SHOWS
We need to see an increase in our dinner show sales as well. How? Ask your guests if they have any dinner plans. Then go into the options for dinner shows. Show them that for the price of a nice dinner for the family, they can get 2 hours of entertainment as well. Be smart about where you send them. If it’s ADULTS, talk about Sleuth’s and Treasure Tavern. If they have kids, talk about Pirate’s and Medieval Times. Think about where they are buying tickets to. If they are going to the I-Drive 360 attractions, suggest SLEUTHS! It’s next door and they can walk there! If they are going to Universal, suggest Blue Man Group and Pirate’s. Offer a $10 discount on BMG if they purchase Universal tickets.

January 22, 2016 – Volume 26.03 – CREDIT CARD ISSUES

If you are at a location that has a CHIP READER for credit cards, it MUST be used. Follow the instructions on the terminal. BE CAREFUL because if the card declines when using a chip reader, IT WILL PRINT OUT A LONG RECEIPT AND AT THE VERY BOTTOM IT WILL SAY “DECLINED”. If you are selling more than 4 tickets to one attraction, all members of the party must be in front of you. NEVER accept a card that comes up “declined” even if the guest says that there is money on their card. NEVER sell tickets to someone that is not staying at the hotel/resort. Be especially careful when accepting GIFT CARDS because many times there will be a balance due. Be sure to look at the screen and if it says BALANCE DUE, be sure to collect the balance! Also, you MUST get a SIGNATURE on any credit card slip that requires one. If you don’t and we get a chargeback, WE LOSE that money and we will have no choice but to charge you for the loss. You MUST write on EVERY receipt 1) Tickets Purchased (abbreviate); 2) ID Number; and 3) Room number.

Logo_Disney-TyphoonLagoon[1]WATER PARKS – CLOSURES
With it being the winter season, you must advise your guests that purchase ANY ticket that includes a water park that if the temperatures DROP BELOW 70, there is a possibility that they will close. Have them check the weather forecast and remind them that the tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE and they are buying them at their own risk. We CANNOT refund water parks that are purchased as part of a combo ticket! Also, DON’T FORGET TO TELL YOUR GUESTS THAT TYPHOON LAGOON IS NOW CLOSED AND ONLY BLIZZARD BEACH IS OPEN. Disney has already announced that due to low temperatures, Blizzard Beach will be closed Saturday 1/23 and Sunday 1/24.

LEGOLAND CLOSED TUESDAYS & WEDNESDAYS
Legoland is back to being CLOSED on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

cold-cartoon-man[1]A FEW COLD DAYS AHEAD!

HEALTH INSURANCE UPDATE
Guys, you have no idea how frustrated we are with Blue Cross. This has been a nightmare with them handling our account. Although our effective date is 1/15, they are now saying that our staff will not be loaded into the system until the beginning of NEXT week – hopefully by Monday. Because of this, we will not be doing any payroll deductions for health insurance until the next pay period. We are so sorry for all of this.

VOIDING DISNEY TICKETS
When you send Disney tickets to the office to be voided, here is the procedure: 1) Wrap the tickets in the “Congratulations” page and put them in your deposit envelope. 2) Highlight the tickets sent to the office on your EOD report and write “Void” on the report next to each ticket that you are sending in. This will keep us from having to track down tickets and possibly charging you all for tickets that should have been voided.

FUN SPOT CHANGES
The tickets for Fun Spot are NO LONGER good for both parks on the same day. They are only good for one park. Remember, we only sell adult vouchers because the child is based on height. So with any children, they are measured when they get to the park. If they are UNDER 54”, they will receive a $10 gift card to use for in park spending. We are also adding a Family Four Park for gifting which we will give more information about at a later date.

MANAGER VACATIONS
Armando – Back on Sunday 1/24; Ana Maria – 1/23-1/30; Rick – 2/3 – 2/10

CHECK DATES ON DISNEY TICKETS
Again, please be sure to check your dates on your CONVENTION TICKETS. If they are dated BEFORE April, 2015, or they have a reservation number LOWER than 142325297 they need to be sent to the office. Convention tickets are the ONLY tickets that expire, but you should ALWAYS rotate your DisneyQuest and Water Park tickets and keep the OLDEST ones on TOP to sell first.

magiclogoORLANDO MAGIC SALES
You guys are doing a GREAT job with Magic sales! Our next two home games are BLACK games: 1/22 vs. Charlotte Hornets and 1/31 vs. Boston Celtics.

SECRET SHOPPERS ARE OUT
We want to remind all of you that we have secret shoppers out checking on honesty, service and sales ability. They are also renting Rental Cars so you must follow proper procedures. Dollar/Thrifty MUST be used FIRST, Action second and Enterprise third. Anyone using a non-approved company will be terminated. All rentals MUST be put in the POS and a voucher created so we can track payments and make sure you get paid. All transactions must be properly recorded in the POS and a FINAL SALES RECEIPT must be given. Anyone not doing this will be terminated.

APPRECIATION PARTY 1/31
We are happy that so many of you have RSVP’d for the party! If you did, PLEASE be sure to come! We are paying a PER PERSON price, so if you don’t come, we are wasting money. If for any reason you change your mind, please let Marc know so he can fill your spot with someone else. Don’t forget to “dress to impress” – NOT FORMAL WEAR, but evening wear

January 15, 2016 – Volume 26.02 – SEA WORLD TICKET UPDATES

There still seems to be some confusion on the Sea World tickets. We have changed the pricing in the POS to match their online pricing, so there is no need to give additional discounts. Basically if a guest wants: Aquatica – print Aquatica; Sea World OR Busch Gardens – Print “Choose Your Adventure – 1 Visit” located the second from the bottom of EZ Ticket store; Sea World AND Aquatica – Print Sea World/Aquatica combo ticket ONLY if the guest knows for SURE they are only going ONCE to each of these parks; Sea World and/or Busch Gardens and/or Aquatica – Print “Choose Your Adventure 2 or 3 Visits” based on if your guests wants 2 or 3 visits to ANY of the 3 parks; “Choose Your Adventure Unlimited Visits” if your guest wants 14 days with UNLIMITED visits to ALL 3 PARKS and FREE PARKING (This ticket should also be printed for the 6 Park Flex/Bundle). Things to keep in mind: Any 2 or 3 Visit tickets allow the same park to be repeated if desired. For example, a guest can go to Sea World TWICE with the 2 Visit ticket, or with the 3 visit ticket a guest can go to Sea World TWICE and Busch Gardens ONCE. The do NOT have to go to a different park for each visit.

Logo_Disney-TyphoonLagoon[1]WATER PARKS – CLOSURES

ORLANDO EYE NOW OPEN
The Orlando Eye has finished their maintenance and has now re-opened.

HAPPY MLK DAY!

CONVENIENCE FEES
Please do not lie about Convenience Fees. When selling the One and Two Day Disney tickets, you must disclose it this way – “While we pay the same price as everyone else for these tickets, we want to offer them to our guests so they don’t have to stand in line and also allow them the ability to set up the Fast Pass in advance. We do have to charge a Convenience Fee in order to cover the costs associated with these tickets, like credit card fees. However, if you don’t want these advantages, you’re welcome to wait in line at the gate”. DO NOT LIE and say the prices are the same please!

HEALTH INSURANCE UPDATE
Due to delays with Blue Cross, the effective date for the new Group Plan will be FRIDAY, 1/15. Sorry for the inconvenience. Everyone should be loaded in the system and your Policy numbers should be available by the middle of next week. Just a reminder that in order to keep your insurance, you must be scheduled a minimum of 30 hours per week. Anyone not maintaining 30 hours will be canceled.

ALL REFUNDS MUST BE APPROVED
If a guest asks about a refund, you can remind them that all tickets are non-refundable, but if they insist, please call the office or a manager. We WILL refund unused tickets with a 15% restocking fee. All refunds must be explained IN DETAIL on your log sheet, including the manager that approved it.

LEGOLAND CLOSED TUES & WED
Legoland is back to being CLOSED on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. As with all parks, check your calendars daily!

OUTTA CONTROL MAGIC SHOW AT WONDERWORKS CLOSED 1/11-1/18
They are closed to refinish their floors and will re-open for shows starting 1/19.

FINAL SALES RECEIPTS MANDATORY
Every guest that purchases from us must walk away with a FINAL POS sales receipt. If the guest uses a credit card, this should be stapled to the customer copy.

PRINT DISNEY EOD REPORT
While you need to VISUALLY log at all attraction End of Day reports and match them up with your POS report, the Disney report MUST BE PRINTED and attached to the back of your log sheet. If you are sending in tickets to be voided, these must be highlighted on the report and you should write “Void” next to these tickets.

MOD – LEAD SCHEDULE
Please be sure to use the leads as your first point of contact. The managers get bombarded with phone calls on a daily basis, so try to call the leads with simple questions first. After that, be sure to click on the “MOD Schedule” on the AGS Homepage to call the appropriate manager for any other questions. Thanks!

BACK TO BACK SHIFTS
If the PM shift is not there at the close of your shift, you cannot leave without notifying a manager. Make sure all tickets and money are counted before leaving.
