August 14, 2015 – Volume 24.32 – JULY NIGHTLIFE INCENTIVE!

Our July incentive was for Cirque, Blue Man Group, Medieval Times, Sleuth’s, Pirate’s and Treasure Tavern sales. For every 10 tickets you sold, you got one entry into a drawing. The winning ticket number for the $200 Visa Rewards card is – 531796. If you have this ticket, please call the office to claim your prize.

PLEASE READ EACH TICKET OUT LOUD TO THE GUEST AS YOU HAND THEM OVER!                  No matter how busy you are, it is MANDATORY that you read EACH TICKET out loud to the guest as you hand them over. We’ve had a LOT of people this past week purchasing NON-Magic Kingdom tickets and getting MAGIC KINGDOM tickets. Please be careful that you are choosing the CORRECT ticket when printing 1 Day Disney tickets.  We also had ADULTS getting CHILDREN’S tickets. This is UNACCEPTABLE!!! You MUST read each ticket OUT LOUD to the guest as you hand them over – PLEASE!!!!!! We are BEGGING you to do this!

LEGOLAND CLARIFICATION
If the OPC is offering the Legoland BOGO’s as a gift or pre-gift, you MUST sell those tickets to the guest, or pre-gift them. Please DO NOT turn down the sale! Otherwise, you should NOT be offering the BOGO’s to any guest upfront. So if the guest was pitched the BOGO’s by the OPC, please SELL THEM that way. Remember, if you do sell the BOGO’s, there must be the same number of Adults as Children. In the POS, you enter ONE BOGO, and then you go into the Legoland Gifting store and enter ONE ADULT and ONE FREE CHILD. If you have an odd amount – for example 3 Adults and 2 Children – you would enter 2 BOGOS in the POS and 1 regular Adult Legoland. You would then print the 2 BOGOS from the GIFTING store and the ONE Adult from the Guest Service store. If you are unsure of how to do this, please call a lead or manager.

REFERRALS
Again, thanks to those of you who are following the rules and maintaining the integrity of our Approved Vendor program. Remember, ONLY approved vendors can have their referral cards passed out. If you are unsure of who’s approved, please look at the AGS Homepage or call VS directly at 407-649-3040. Please use the referral cards as an ADDED benefit for your guests! When you are doing your “Lobby Magic”, you can tell guests in the lobby to come see you for discounts on local restaurants and shops. Use this as a tool to get them to your desk and PASS THEM OUT to EVERYONE! Anyone not following these procedures will be reprimanded and/or terminated.orlandocity

PAPERWORK ERRORS
New Policy Effective Immediately – Laura, Armando, Rick, Dimary and Carlos are spending a TREMENDOUS amount of time correcting mistakes being made on paperwork. For just one employee’s mistake, Armando, Laura and Dimary spent 4 hours trying to find the mistake and correct it. This cannot continue! We have far too many other more pressing concerns than wasting OUR time trying to find and correct mistakes that could easily have been corrected by the employee. Effective immediately, we will be charging $10 per shift for any paperwork errors that should be caught and corrected, and it will be deducted from your commissions. This includes: Not matching up tickets printed with the POS report; not filling out the Balance Table completely; not batching out the credit card machine; not attaching a Disney EOD report and HIGHLIGHTING any tickets sent to the office to be voided; not accounting for any hard ticket sales (Disney Water Parks, DisneyQuest, Convention Tickets, I-Rides) by subtracting them out of your inventory and carrying over the correct amount; not accounting for TRANSFERRING any hard tickets from one location to another; and not VOIDING your OWN tickets – everything but Disney and Wet ‘n Wild. When you match up your tickets printed on each End of Day Report, if you are off, YOU must return any duplicates – not send them to the office for us to do it. We can’t seem to get this across so we have no choice but to start charging for the amount of time we’re putting in correcting these errors. Please help us with this.

WORKING WITH OPC’S
A reminder that we are PARTNERS with our OPC’s and need to work together so that EVERYONE can make money. Always let the OPC talk to EVERY guest first, whether they’re qualified or not. Then make sure when they’re done, they send them over to you. If this isn’t happening, please let us know.

DISNEY REVENUE INCENTIVE!
We met our goal for the incentive from 6/28 – 8/1! Great job everyone! Each of you will receive 1 entry for every $1000 in Magic Your Way sales. We will be doing a drawing for (2) 40” TV’s, (3) IPad Mini 2’s, and (20) $100 Disney gift cards! We will let you know how many entries each of you have shortly.

STILL LOOKING FOR STAFF
We are still looking for great prospects to join our team! If you know of anyone, please have them call the office to set up an interview. Thanks!

SEA WORLD SHOPPERS ARE OUT
Here’s the key points they will be looking for:Sea World

1. SeaWorld’s 50th Celebration Summer Finale
2. The all new Sea Lion High show
3. Island Nights Celebration at Aquatica
4. Nightly Fireworks
5. Great value in combination tickets!

We really need to continue pushing all Sea World products!  Don’t forget that when anyone purchases Sea World, you should always ask if they want to add Aquatica for only $2.  The normal gate price for Sea World is $97, so this will bring the price to the $99 combo offer which you can sell and print to give the guest ONE admission to each park.  Then tell them you can add Busch Gardens for an additional $20.  This is a $132 savings over buying them individually!

INCENTIVES
Kennedy Space Center – From 8/3 – 9/27, for every $100 in KSC sales, you will receive ONE raffle ticket. On 9/28, we will do a drawing and the winner will receive: A Two Night Stay at the Country Inn & Suites in Cocoa Beach; dinner for 2 at Fish Lips in Port Canaveral, and an airboat ride for 2 at Midway Fish Camp. Bookings on Grayline or FDTours will not apply.

Employee Notes: Happy Birthday to both Rafael and Shonta on 8/21! Congrats to Jon G. for 3 years on 8/15 and Keysha for 1 year on 8/15! Please welcome Hector Lopez and Ariel Brinkley to the AGS Team!

August 7, 2015 – Volume 24.31 – READ EACH TICKET OUT LOUD TO THE GUEST!

THIS WILL BE THE HEADLINE IN EVERY GUEST UNTIL WE HAVE A WEEK WITH NO MISTAKES! No matter how busy you are, it is MANDATORY that you read EACH TICKET out loud to the guest as you hand them over. We’ve had a LOT of people this past week purchasing NON-Magic Kingdom tickets and getting MAGIC KINGDOM tickets. We also had ADULTS getting CHILDREN’S tickets. This is UNACCEPTABLE!!! You MUST read each ticket OUT LOUD to the guest as you hand them over – PLEASE!!!!!! We are BEGGING you to do this!

MATCH UP POS / EOD REPORTS
Please, at the end of your shift, you MUST pull every attraction End of Day Report and match it up to your POS report and make sure all tickets are correct. We ONLY want you to PRINT the Disney report and attach it to the back of your log sheet. But we have the most problems with Universal. If you do not match up, you must run a Detail Report and RETURN the FIRST set of duplicate names using the visual ID’s. If you are not sure of how to do this, please call a lead to walk you through it.

LEGOLAND PROCEDURES
You should NOT be offering the BOGO’s to any guest upfront. These tickets are intended to be for gifting. The only time you should be selling BOGO’s is if the guest mentions they saw the special online or if they have a coupon. You make MORE commissions on the regular ticket sales, so selling the BOGO’s cuts your commission!

“LOBBY MAGIC” – BE A HOTEL AMBASSADOR
Some of you are getting away from our policy of mingling with guests in the lobby. At every opportunity, we want you to get out from behind the desk, greet people in the lobby and breakfast rooms, and pass out stickers to the kids. Introduce yourself as the Concierge and let everyone know that you are available to assist them with any questions and tickets that they may need. The employees that do this on a regular basis make TWICE AS MUCH MONEY as those that do not! We want you to act as Hotel Ambassadors, so get out there every chance you get, greet guests and smile!

BATCH OUT CREDIT CARD MACHINES
There are still a handful of you who are not batching out your credit card machines at the end of your shift. PLEASE double check this before sealing your envelopes. Your last slip MUST READ “Settlement Successful” and this slip must be stapled to the TOP of your detail report and all of the individual slips.

SUNDAY COVERAGE – ARMANDO OFF
Armando will be taking Sunday off – please DO NOT call him. Michel will be running and Ana Maria will be the MOD. Please utilize your leads as much as possible this day for the normal questions. Here are the leads on duty: Rafael 7 – 1, Daniel 7 – 2, Jon G. 7 – 3, Erika 3 – 10.

VOIDING DISNEY TICKETS
If you are sending Disney tickets to the office to be voided, please match up the codes on the ticket to your Disney EOD report, highlight them, and write “VOID” next to these codes.

UNIVERSAL TICKETS TO PRINT
If anyone wants a 3 Day Base Universal, print a 4 Day Base. If anyone wants ANY 2 Day or higher Park-to-Park WITH Wet ‘n Wild, you ALWAYS print a 3 Park Unlimited ticket.

3 DAY TOUCH OF MAGIC TICKETS
For those of you with remaining 3 Day TOMS in your inventory, please MINUS them out of your inventory and send them in with your deposit. We are going to consolidate to a couple of locations.

STILL LOOKING FOR STAFF
We are still looking for great prospects to join our team! If you know of anyone that has a great personality, is outgoing, knows about the area and attractions, and can work anytime, including nights and weekends, please have them call the office to set up an interview. Thanks!Sea World

July 31, 2015 – Volume 24.30 – READ EACH TICKET OUT LOUD TO THE GUEST!

THIS WILL BE THE HEADLINE IN EVERY GAZETTE UNTIL WE HAVE A WEEK WITH NO MISTAKES!

ASK THE AGES OF THE CHILDREN
When a guest tells you they have children, you MUST ask the ages. Just this week we had a guest USE a Disney ticket for a 2 year old and now they want their money back and we will have to charge that employee. Ask EVERY age so if they have a 13 year old, they will have to pay for an Adult ticket and if they have a 2 year old, they will NOT need a ticket.

SEA WORLD PRICING OPTIONS
Does everyone know the difference between Gate Prices and our price? We give $10 off the gate price on Saturday/Sunday tickets and $27 off for Weekday tickets. Weekday tickets are NOT available at the gate. Now if someone asks you about the ONLINE prices, we match them. If someone asks for a Sea World ticket, your response should be “Would you like to add Aquatica for only $2?” That’s right. $2! They can get the combo for $99, which is $2 more than the gate price for Sea World. And then if they accept that, you should say, “You can also add Busch Gardens for only $20 More!”. You would then sell them the 3 Park Combo. This is the way to UPGRADE sales and make more money!

UNIFORMS ARE MANDATORY
This is a reminder that the AGS shirts are mandatory and MUST be worn Mon – Sat. Nametags MUST be worn at all times. Anyone not wearing uniforms will be let go.

DISNEY CONVENTION TICKETS
Anyone purchasing Disney conventions MUST either be here on business or in a convention or it must be the FAMILY of someone here in a meeting or convention. Please make sure you are asking these questions BEFORE selling the tickets. Disney DOES shop our locations and anyone not qualifying guests before selling the tickets will be reprimanded.

RENTAL CARS – TERMINATIONS
Remember that our preferred rental car company is Dollar with backups of Action and Enterprise. All car rental reservations must be entered into the POS in Category A23. A voucher must be filled out completely including customer name, room #, car rental company contact #, reservation number, and any comments such as rental rate, pick-up date, and # of days. These should be added into the note section of the voucher. Dollar has agreed to secret shop all of our locations in person and by phone to make sure all employees are following procedures. Anyone not following procedures or not having payments go through the office will be terminated.

COMPUTER USAGE AT THE LOCATIONS – BUSINESS ONLY                                                                 I apologize if this is going to cause any inconvenience, however the AGS computers are ONLY to be used for business purposes. This is important for several reasons including but not limited to additional fees incurred for data usage and viruses from social media sites. However, we do want you to utilize the computer to find information for customers. Google is a wonderful tool in case you do not know the answer to something. When a computer gets a virus, not only does it slow the speed but it can cause down time for you and your co-workers. Please concentrate on the customers in your lobby and stop stalking your friends & family on Facebook!

CREDIT CARD SLIPS
Remember, you must write on every credit card slip what was purchased, the room number and the ID number. When sending credit card slips to the office in your deposit envelope, here’s how they should be: 1) The Batch Settlement should be on the VERY top; 2) The Detail Report should be underneath that; and 3) The individual slips should be put in ascending order with the 1st transaction followed by the 2nd and so on. ALL OF THESE SLIPS NEED TO BE STAPLED TOGETHER IN THIS ORDER. Some of you are just sending them in loose. We have to have them STAPLED in this order.

LOG SHEETS –FILL OUT / STAPLE
Please make sure your log sheets are filled out entirely with the Disney EOD report printed on the back and the Product Sales Report STAPLED to the back of that with the printing showing out.

REFERRALS
We want to thank all of the concierges who have been supporting the vendors that participate in the AGS referral program. There are 2 places to find the approved vendors list – in the table of contents of the FunPak and in the Approved Vendor News Letter located on the AGS Homepage. Anyone handing out or displaying a referral card for an unauthorized vendor will be reprimanded. Thanks for your cooperation.

BETA TESTING POS – BANKS
We are testing some changes to the POS. Please DO NOT enter the number of bills in your starting bank until we tell you.  Just leave all of those fields blank.

BUDGET YOUR MONEY!!!
We had some great checks these past 2 weeks. Budget your money because September is coming. Be prepared for this slow time by saving some of the money you are making now to get you through until October!orlandocity

July 24, 2015 – Volume 24.29 – READ EACH TICKET OUT LOUD TO THE GUEST! –

THIS WILL BE THE HEADLINE IN EVERY GUEST UNTIL WE HAVE A WEEK WITH NO MISTAKES! No matter how busy you are, it is MANDATORY that you read EACH TICKET out loud to the guest as you hand them over. It only takes 30 seconds and could save you a lot of money. This is your LAST CHANCE to make sure the guest is getting the correct tickets. We still have people getting Magic Kingdom tickets instead of NON-Magic Kingdom. This is for your own good!

DISNEY WEBSITE
If you are having problems with a page “freezing” when activating your Disney tickets, you can hit “F5” on your keyboard, or right click on your mouse and then click “reload” and it will bring up the page (thanks for this tip Steve!). If you are not sure if the tickets have been activated, ALWAYS RUN YOUR DISNEY END OF DAY REPORT. If you see the tickets there, you can be assured that the tickets ARE ACTIVE and give them to the guest. If you do NOT see the numbers there, then the shells did NOT activate. Send them to the office with your paperwork and use NEW shells. Never try to swipe any shells again that have had any type of error.

CHECK DISNEY SHELLS FOR “20”
We thought that all of the old Touch of Magic shells were picked up and thrown away, but some of you seem to still have them. Please check your shells. If you have a “20” in the lower right corner, THROW THESE SHELLS AWAY. If you try to activate Touch of Magic shells, it causes problems in the Disney system. All shells should either have a “78” for Adults or a “79” for Children.

rain-rain-go-away-copy[1]RAIN EXPECTED THROUGH MONDAY
We are expecting a lot of rain starting tomorrow (Friday) and continuing through Monday. Please be sure to tell your guests this. Remind them that there are plenty of indoor attractions, but all tickets are non-refundable – especially the water parks.

RAINY DAYS – DINNER SHOWS
With rainy days, Dinner Shows, Blue Man Group and Cirque are GREAT suggestions! Keep these in mind and push these HIGH profit tickets! Also, don’t forget Wonderworks, Ripley’s, Titanic and DisneyQuest for rainy days.

CREDIT CARD PROCEDURES
Some of you are getting very lax on the proper credit card procedures. Remember, every slip MUST have these 3 things written on them: 1) Tickets purchased; 2) ID number; and 3) Room number. ID’s must be checked for ALL transactions. Any purchase of more than 4 tickets must have ALL members of the party in front of you. If a transaction is suspicious, be sure to do an “ADDRESS VERIFICATION” using the procedures on the When to Work Bulletin Board.

BATCH OUT CC MACHINES
Please make sure you are settling your machines and getting “Settlement Successful”! Some of you STILL aren’t!

COMPLETE PAPERWORK
Before sending in your paperwork, please double check to make sure EVERYTHING is filled out. Some of you are leaving your balance tables blanks as well as your name and hours. All spaces MUST be filled in. Make sure you have matched up each of your attraction End of Day reports with what you have in your POS. The Disney EOD report MUST be printed and stapled to the BACK of your log sheet.

PRE-ACTIVATED TICKETS – ORDER
Please make sure you are COUNTING your pre-activated hard ticket inventory (Disney Water Parks, Disney Convention tickets, I-Rides) TWICE DAILY – at the beginning AND end of your shift. Make sure you are keeping the tickets in order with the OLDEST ones on top of the stack to be sold FIRST. Also, any tickets needed for the weekend MUST be ordered by no later than 3 pm Friday to be delivered for the weekend.

NO FOOD OR DRINKS AT DESK
There is ABSOLUTELY NO EATING at our desks. Additionally, we are now being told that some GM’s do not want our employees drinking at the desks, and ABSOLUTLEY NO DRINK CUPS on the desk. If you want a cup of coffee or a drink, please go to a designated break area and take a 5 minute break – but NOT between 7 – 11 am.

July 17, 2015 – Volume 24.28 – READ EACH TICKET OUT LOUD TO THE GUEST!

THIS WILL BE THE HEADLINE IN EVERY GAZETTE UNTIL WE HAVE A WEEK WITH NO MISTAKES!

DISNEY TICKETING UPDATES
DTC Problems Have Been Resolved – It appears that all of the issues we were having with the Disney Ticket Connection running slowly and getting stuck have been resolved. Disney IT has said the problem was caused by a software update they did July 1st. If you have any additional problems, please call Rick S. so he can put in a ticket.                                                                     Print End of Day Report and Staple to the Back of Your Log Sheet – Please make sure you are printing your EOD report (this is the ONLY one you must print and turn in) and attach it to the back of your log sheet. Match up all of your tickets on this report with your POS report. Expiration DatesAll portions of ANY Disney ticket must be used 13 days after the FIRST date of use. This is especially important to stress with your guests that are here for longer than 2 weeks. So please make sure they when they purchase multi-day tickets that all portions of the ticket MUST be used within 14 days.                                                                                           Premium Tickets – What is a Premium? Premium is an old term that we continue to use meaning that the ticket has BOTH the Hopping and Water Park Fun & More options. When printing these tickets, you MUST make sure BOTH boxes are checked. Again, when adding the Water Park Fun & More option the number of days purchased for the 4 MAIN parks matches the number of options the guest will receive. For example, a 4 Day Premium gets Hopping and 4 Fun Visits to the Water Parks, DisneyQuest, Oak Trail, or Winter/Summerland or Fantasia Mini-Golf before 4 pm.  The only exception to this rule is the 1 Day with Water Park Fun & More which receives 2 visits.  Remember, if you sell a 1 Day ticket with any options you must choose the “Add-On Options” to see the Hopping or Water Park Fun & More options.

CHECK SUPPLIES – ORDER DAILY
There is NO EXCUSE to be running out of any supplies during the busy time – especially Disney Shells. Please check your supplies DAILY and make sure you order them when needed. If you are very low on ANYTHING, don’t be afraid to TELL THE RUNNER if you need something! All supplies are carried in the car, so if you can’t wait till the next day, get what you need from the runner!

DO NOT STORE PASSWORDS!
Many of you are storing your passwords in the computer. Please do NOT do this. This is very dangerous and could lead to someone printing tickets under YOUR name and YOU will be responsible for the losses. If you don’t know how to clear this from the system, please call Jon Garner – 407-800-2002 and he will help you. Also, if you are logging in to check your e-mail through gmail, please do not store this either. Your private information could be accessed.

July 10, 2015 – Volume 24.27 – ALL TICKETS MUST BE READ OUT LOUD!

PLEASE guys, this is for your own good!

CASH DEPOSIT – ENVELOPE DEPOSIT
We want ALL OF YOU to get in the habit of doing an “ENVELOPE DEPOSIT” before closing cash in your POS and running your Product Sales Report. This MUST match the cash what you are putting in your deposit envelope! Even if you are NOT putting any cash in the envelope, you MUST enter “0” for the “Envelope Deposit”. There should never be a question about this matching. The amount showing up on your Product Sales Report should be the same as what’s in your deposit envelope.

BATCH OUT CREDIT CARD MACHINES
Some of you are still forgetting to batch out your credit card machines. This should be part of your closing process on EVERY shift. First you must run a “Detail Report”, then “Settle” your machine. The final slip must read “Settlement Successful”. Sometimes you may be prompted to enter the total amount of the batch in order to get the batch to settle. Please be sure to check this before sealing your envelope. Questions? Call a lead.

DELETE HISTORY DAILY
Let’s also make it a habit to “delete your browser history” daily. When you first log in to your computer, you should do this immediately for each browser that you have – Internet Explorer, Mozilla, and Google Chrome. If you’re unsure of how to do this, call a lead or Jonathon Garner at 407-800-2002. By doing this, it should help your computer run more quickly and efficiently.

LOG OFF COMPUTERS
Please make sure you log off the computers at the end of your shift (but do NOT turn them off). We do not want guests or OPC’s on our computers. How do you do this? Click on the flag in the lower left corner of your screen. Click on the arrow pointing right next to “Shut Down”. Click on “Log Off’.

FLEXTICKETS – BUNDLES
Again, there is no such thing as a 4 Park FlexTicket, but we have CREATED a 4 Park Bundle. This ticket gives ONE admission to each of the following parks: Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Sea World and Aquatica. What do you print? A 2 Day BASE Universal ticket and a Sea World/Aquatica COMBO ticket. The 5 Park FlexTicket gives 14 Days of Unlimited use of USF, IOA, WW, SW and AQ. So you print a 3 Park Unlimited Universal ticket and the Sea World / Aquatica LENGTH OF STAY tickets. The 6 Park FlexTicket ADDS Busch Gardens, so you print a 3 Park Unlimited Universal ticket and a Sea World/Busch Gardens/Aquatica LENGTH OF STAY ticket. If you have any questions about this, please call a lead or manager before printing the tickets.

UNIFORMS ARE MANDATORY
All of you signed a form stating the your understand and agree to the uniform policy. This means that you must wear the AGS shirt from Monday – Saturday, with Sundays being the only day to wear an attraction polo and Orlando City Game Days (or the day before) being the only days to wear that shirt. NAMETAGS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES! It was very disappointing to have all the managers out on the 4th of July and seeing at least 8 people without their nametags on. Also, jeans or jean material in NOT allowed. Tennis shoes, sandals or flip flops are NOT allowed. Pants must be a professional looking SLACK material – preferably BLACK. Not wearing the proper uniform will result in disciplinary action.

DAILY RAIN
Please be sure to inform your guests that it rains ALMOST EVERY DAY in Orlando in the summer. Tell them to plan accordingly and that there are absolutely NO REFUNDS because of rain. All theme parks have plenty of indoor attractions and if they are going to a Water Park, they need to get there EARLY to avoid the afternoon rains.

Just staple a referral card to the POS voucher with your first and last name on it.

Employee Notes: Happy Birthday to Mackenzie on 7/12, and Mariana and Ana Maria on 7/16! Saturday MOD – Kymry

ALL TICKETS MUST BE READ OUT LOUD!

PLEASE guys, this is for your own good!

BUSY WEEKS AHEAD – BE PREPARED
These next couple of weeks should be our busiest of the summer! Please make sure you are prepared. Get to the locations early. Be sure to count your bank and all hard ticket inventory to verify the counts. Make sure that the tickets are in the stack so that you are selling the OLDEST ones first. Check your supplies! Every summer we have locations run out of Disney shells. Please make sure you have plenty, as well as back-up rolls of POS and credit card tape. Also, you should have plenty of printer paper.

CHECK BLANK DISNEY SHELLS “20”
Please take a minute to check your BLANK Disney shells (NOT your PRE-Activated tickets like the 3 Day TOMS). If you have any with a “20” in the lower right corner, please throw them away. These are the OLD Touch of Magic shells that are no longer valid.

CIRQUE “PROMO” ELIMINATED
For those of you that book Cirque, the “Promo” Category has been eliminated. Now everyone has the same pricing, which they have given to the regular tickets.

ALL 3 DAY TOMS DISTIBUTED
We do not have any additional tickets in the office. We will be consolidating our remaining tickets at strategic locations that have PM shifts. Once this is done, we will let you know where they are. If you’re at a location that doesn’t have them and you sell them, they will need to be transferred to your location.

WET ‘N WILD – DO NOT ENTER KIDS WHEN PRINTING
Just to review, Wet ‘n Wild is located in the POS in Category 14 – Hard Inventory (even though we print them). When entering them in the POS, we have both Adult and Children prices. However, when you PRINT the ticket, they must ALL be entered as Adults! Remember to print the tickets, you must go into the AGS Homepage, click on “POS REPORTS” in the left column, log in, and then click on “Wet ‘n Wild”. Click on “New Ticket” and put the TOTAL NUMBER OF BOTH ADULTS AND CHILDREN NEEDED AS ADULTS. Our tickets are good for unlimited admissions for 14 consecutive days.

AQUATICA CLOSURES
Keep in mind that Aquatica will close to capacity most of the summer – especially on the weekends. When selling Aquatica tickets, please tell your guests to get there by no later than 10 am to avoid closures. You can call this number to see if parking is still available. (866) 787-4307

APS REVIEW
If you do an Advance Purchase Sale over the phone, here’s what you need to do: Charge the guest in the POS. Collect the money on a credit card. At the end of the cc slip, press “paper feed” on the machine so that there is a blank space at the bottom of the receipt. Do a “Reprint” of the credit card slip. Tell the guest that they will need to present THAT credit card along with a photo ID to pick up the tickets. Put an APS sticker on the outside of an envelope and fill out ALL of the information. Put the ORIGINAL credit card slip in the envelope along with the POS receipt and the tickets. Include the duplicate with your batch. If the guest is due in within 7 days, keep the envelope locked up in the safety deposit box. For more future orders, send them to the office to be held. If you are PASSING OUT an APS, the guest must present the card used and an ID. Imprint the card at the bottom of the original receipt and have them sign it.

DISNEY PARK CAPACITY
The Magic Kingdom will likely reach capacity by 11 am on the 4th as well as the days after. Please advise your guests to get there BEFORE 11 AM. On the 4th, they probably will not re-open the park.

ANOTHER REASON TO BE ON THE GIFTING TEAM!
We are now in Vacation Village – a 2300 unit resort – in the lobby doing sales only (no gifting). The gifting team will be staffing this location. Way to go!!!

SECRET SHOPPERS ARE OUT
We continue to have shoppers out purchasing tickets with cash and checking on rental cars on a regular basis. Anyone not recording sales correctly or not following the proper procedures for booking rental cars will be terminated.

June 26, 2015 – Volume 24.26 – PAPERWORK MISTAKES – CHECK YOUR WORK!

With summer here, it is going to be VERY important for all of you to check all of your paperwork before sending in your deposit. What does this mean? Run all of your End of Day Reports for EVERY attraction and make sure all tickets match up with your POS report. This is especially important for Universal. If you have extra tickets on your EOD reports, you MUST run a Detail report and return the FIRST set of any duplicates. Double check to make sure ALL areas of the log sheet are filled out, including your name, location name, hours, and ALL COLUMNS of the Balance Table. Many of you are leaving parts of the balance table empty and are not doing simple things like putting your name on the log sheet or your hours. Batch out your credit card machine. PLEASE make sure you batch your credit card machine. The slips should be put in ascending order with the “Detail Report” on top and the “Batch Settlement” on the VERY top. STAPLE them together in this order.summer[1]

3 DAY TOM PRE-ACTIVATED TICKETS
If you are at a location that has these tickets, please be sure to sell them FIRST. They can be sold to anyone asking to purchase a 3 Day Base Disney ticket. Remember, they are to be entered in Category 14 – “Hard Ticket Inventory” in the POS. Some of you are entering them as 3 Day Base MYW tickets and you are cheating yourself out of commissions.

PLEASE CHECK DISNEY WATER PARK TICKETS
We are going to consolidate all of the OLD Typhoon Lagoon OR Blizzard Beach tickets to all of the Diamond locations. Please go through all of your Disney Water Park tickets and see if they say “OR”. If they do, please send an e-mail through When to Work to all of the managers letting us know how many that particular location has. With the exception of the Diamond locations, we will then trade them out for the “AND” tickets. If you have questions, please call a lead or manager.

THEFT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED
Just a reminder that theft of any kind (taking cash under the table for rental cars, improperly charging guests, etc.) will not be tolerated. We have shoppers that continuously check on this. We will terminate and prosecute anyone that steals from the company. We appreciate those of you that are honest and do everything the right way!

REFERRAL CARDS – APPROVED
Remember, you are only allowed to hand out referral cards for APPROVED vendors. When filling out the cards, PLEASE write your first AND LAST NAME, AS WELL AS “AGS”. Many of the vendors are saying that they are getting FIRST NAMES ONLY on their cards and they have no idea who to pay, so please make sure you write your LAST NAME as well.

RENTAL CARS – DOLLAR/THRIFTY
You should always call Dollar/Thrifty/Hertz FIRST for any rental car bookings. You must put the booking in the POS so we can track the reservation and make sure you get paid. Please be sure to put the guest’s name, the rental car company used and the reservation number on every voucher. Action and Enterprise may be used as the secondary back-ups. Shoppers continue to be out and anyone using an unapproved company or not following proper procedures will be terminated.

SEA WORLD CONVENTION TICKETS
We now have Sea World After 2 PM Meeting and Convention tickets. These tickets are located in the POS in Category A11 – Sea World EZTicket and are abbreviated as 2pmSW. We are selling them for $57 plus taxes and fees. As with the Disney Convention tickets, the guest MUST BE QUALIFIED to get these tickets. They must be here on business, in a convention or meeting, or they can be the family of someone here in a meeting or convention. Sea World shoppers will be checking on this. They are good for ANY DAY (including weekends), but obviously you should CHECK THE CLOSING TIME OF THE PARK to see if it’s worth selling it. If they park is closing at 6 pm, it’s probably not worth it, but they later time in the summer is definitely a good value.

WORKING WITH OPC’S
All OPC’s should be allowed to pitch the guest first. This is part of our agreements at all of the properties that we share. The word “Timeshare” should never be mentioned. If a guest asks you what they do, you can tell them they have a “check-in special” available. After they have pitched the guest, they should turn them over to you. If this is not happening, let an AGS manager know and we will contact their managers. Again, they only are able to book about 10% of the people they see, so you have a chance of selling tickets to the other 90%.

ORLANDO EYE IS BACK UP
You are free to sell all 3 attractions – Orlando Eye, SeaLife, and Madame Tussauds. Remember, Sleuth’s is right next door so suggest this as a package for your guests and offer a $10 discount on Sleuths’ Mystery Dinner Show if they are purchased together!

SELL OLDEST TICKETS FIRST
As you count your tickets (TWICE DAILY), please make sure you check the dates and keep the OLDEST ONES on top to sell first. This is especially important for the Disney Convention tickets as they expire. Anything dated after July 2014 to February 2015 will expire at the end of this year. Anything dated March 2015 and on will expire at the end of 2016. So PLEASE keep them in order and sell the oldest first.

We would like to see more of an effort on everyone’s part to sell more Orlando City tickets. As the exclusive Guest Services seller, we should be doing much better. If you have ANY guests from South America, please suggest these tickets to them. Marcc is offering incentives and we allow you to wear the shirts, so let’s try to push them more. June 12, 2015 – Volume 24.24 – GREAT THINGS AHEAD!

We’ve got some exciting things coming! We are adding additional locations that will be great for everyone. Stay tuned!

MEETING REVIEW
Thanks to all of you that came to the I-Drive 360 meeting! We all think it was a great event! For those of you who didn’t show up and were un-excused, you will be receiving a written reprimand put in to your personnel file. We will be receiving Complimentary tickets for those of you who were excused so you can experience the attractions (Orlando Eye/Madame Tussauds, SeaLife) yourself to better sell them.

FOCUS ON HIGH PROFIT TICKETS
How can you make the most money this summer? Focus on selling the higher profit tickets! For EVERY Disney or Universal ticket that a guest asks about, you should suggest SEA WORLD. Sea World continues to have more commission for you than a 1 Day Disney or Universal. If the family has smaller children, always suggest Legoland. Legoland is our highest profit full day attraction! For EVERY Universal ticket you sell, suggest Blue Man Group and offer a $10 discount if they buy them together. Ask about dinner plans and suggest dinner shows. Tell a guest that “everyone does at least one dinner show while they’re here. Instead of just going out to dinner, why not enjoy 2 hours of entertainment!” If you concentrate on these things, you will see your check increase!

ORDER SUPPLIES / TICKETS
As we get busy, please make sure you are ordering supplies needed on the AGS Homepage. Every location should have at least 4 packs of Adult Disney shells and 2 child shells. All locations should have 2 backup rolls of credit card and POS rolls. Don’t forget to order any hard tickets you need! Disney Water Parks, 3 Day TOMS, DisneyQuest, and I-Rides should be ordered.Fathers-Day[1]

SEA WORLD PRODUCTS
The Sea World and Busch Gardens Weekday tickets will continue until further notice. The last day for Aquatica Weekday ticket to be sold and redeemed will be Friday, June 19. At that time go back to selling the regular any day Aquatica tickets.

DISNEY CONVENIENCE FEES
How do you overcome objections about the Disney convenience fees? First of all – DON”T LIE. You must be honest if asked. Secondly, when a guest says they don’t want to pay the fee, you should say “You can set up your Fast Passes in advance and with the waits in line at the Kiosks, it’s worth it to get them in advance and pay the fees”. Plus if they have a smart phone they can set it up on the shuttle or in the car on the way to the parks.

GET OUT FROM BEHIND THE DESK!
We need ALL of you to get out from behind the desks, GREET people, pass out stickers to the kids, and act as “Hotel Ambassadors”. We will continue to stress this until we get ALL of you doing this! If each of you to take this to heart and you will see your sales increase!

I-DRIVE 360 ATTRACTIONS
These tickets are in the POS in A13 – Merlin. These are NOT voucher sales. You must go into the Legoland store to print the tickets. Remember, our tickets allow anytime access! Tickets purchased there have to have a reserved time.

READ EACH TICKET OUT LOUD!
Guys, how many mistakes and deductions have to be made to get this through your heads? We still have people handing out the wrong tickets. YOU MUST READ EACH TICKET OUT LOUD TO THE GUEST AS YOU HAND THEM OVER! We still have guests getting BASE Universal tickets instead of PTP, or getting regular 2 Day Universal tickets instead of 3rd Day Free. PLEASE READ THEM!

LOOKING FOR QUALITY EMPLOYEES
If you know of anyone that is looking for a job, has a great personality, is outgoing, dependable, responsible, loves the theme parks, and is available anytime, including nights and weekends, please have them call the office to set up an interview. We especially need people for gifting.

MATCH UP TICKETS – UNIVERSAL!
As we go into summer, PLEASE make sure you match up your EOD reports with your Product Sales Report. We continue to have problems with Universal. If your Summary Report is different than your POS report, you must then run a Detail Report and RETURN the first set of any duplicated tickets.

SECURITY
Make sure you are using the counterfeit pens on all bills $20 and higher. Please check ID’s for all credit card transactions, match the signatures, and write the ID #, room number and tickets on every slip.

orlandocityORLANDO CITY SHIRTS
