June 24, 2016 – Volume 26.24 – ATTENDANCE – CALLING OFF SICK

We cannot continue having the number of call-ins that we’ve been getting. On a weekly basis, we have 10 – 12 people calling in sick and this cannot continue, especially through the summer. You all need to understand that this job is not one that can be covered easily. There is NO ONE to cover your shifts when you call out because everyone is already stretched thin. In addition, different locations use different POS systems that some of you don’t know. Because of the hardship this has been causing, effective immediately, all sick calls must be accompanied by a Doctor’s note. If you are that sick that you can’t make it to work, we expect you to go to the doctor. We will also be calling the doctor to verify the visit. Anyone with 3 call outs during a consecutive 3 month span will be subject to a reprimand and/or termination for poor attendance. Summer is one of our busiest times of the year. You should WANT to work and we expect you to work. We expect all of you to be responsible and dependable, and if you cannot respect us enough to have good attendance, then you should look for a job elsewhere. As for the rest of you that always show up, on time, and with a good attitude, THANK YOU! A lot of you have been with us for many years, and we appreciate your dependability and dedication. Please know that it does not go unnoticed!

A NOTE FROM ARMANDO
I want to thank all of you for your hard work and dedication! Finally, we are seeing a lift in sales. Many of you have discovered what works and does not work. It shows in your paychecks. Keep up the sales and remember all you need is one good sale to break your daily commission goal. Focus on Sea World, Universal 2 Day PTP and higher, Legoland and Night-time attractions. Keep recommending. Sales are a numbers game. The more “no’s” you get the closer you are to a “yes”. The managers and leads are here to support you if you need anything. Please reach out to us for any questions or concerns. We will do our best to assist in any way. Keep up the good work!

Sea WorldSEA WORLD UPDATE
Mako is now open! This is a GREAT selling point for your guests to purchase Sea World tickets! Remember, if a guest just asks for One Day to Sea World, you should also ask if they would like to add Aquatica, Busch Gardens, and Adventure Island! This is a GREAT value for all 4 parks, and if they get the Unlimited pass, be sure to mention the FREE PARKING at all 4 parks. Also, don’t forget that when printing Sea World tickets, you should always print “Sea World Single Day” tickets. The “Choose Your Adventure – 1 Visit” tickets should ONLY be printed for Busch Gardens. By the way, “Cobra’s Curse” at Busch Gardens is NOW OPEN! Use the opening of these 2 new roller coasters as a selling tool!

ITICKET POS NOTES
Please make sure you “Log Out” at the end of your shift. If you don’t do this, the next shift will not be able to log in. Starting Shift Says “Out of Balance”. Enter “$0” first and see if it says “In Balance”. If it does, call a manager and have them add cash to your drawer. If it doesn’t, then enter what cash you count. Note how much it is “Out of Balance” and call a manager to look at the previous shift. End of Shift says “Out of Balance”. Call a manager to log in to computer and “View Records” and look at your “Drawer Records Shift” to see if all transactions were entered correctly. PRINTING UNIVERSAL AND MERLIN TICKETS – This is VERY important. When you go to print these tickets, they MUST be printed on the BROTHER PRINTER, not the STAR printer. When the print window pops up, be sure to change the printer to “Brother”, not STAR. The turnstiles at Universal are having a hard time reading the bar codes on the small receipts SO YOU NEED TO PRINT THESE TICKETS ON REGULAR PAPER, not the receipt paper.

CIRQUE DU SOLEIL – 50% OFF KIDS
From now through September 3, we will be offering children at 50% off. Make sure you choose the 50% kids line in Connect.

June 10, 2016 – Volume 26.23 – MANDATORY MEETING, THURSDAY 6/16 AT MANGOS

Our next Mandatory Meeting will be NEXT THURSDAY, 6/16 from 3:30 – 5:30 at Mango’s Tropical Café at the corner of Sand Lake and I-Drive. The Tampa Bay Bucs and Mango’s will be sponsoring this. We know that many of you may be working properties that we cannot leave uncovered, so you will be excused for the meeting. Otherwise we expect everyone else to be there. This is a company meeting for ALL teams to kick off the summer! Food & drinks will be provided and you will be paid for attending.

UNIFORMS ARE NOT OPTIONAL
Team, you have no idea how many eyes are watching you. For our Premier locations, the managers of the properties as well as Expedia managers (for the ELE contracted locations) stop in to make sure you are wearing the proper uniforms. If you are working these locations, wearing a black jacket and a white dress shirt is MANDATORY and is not up for debate. YOU CANNOT TAKE YOUR JACKET OFF AND YOU CANNOT ROLL UP YOUR SLEEVES. If you are hot, buy a small personal fan, keep it in your car and take it to the locations with you. The same goes for our VIP locations. Anyone not following proper uniform standards will be reprimanded and/or terminated. Also, for those of you on the Premier team, we now have generic nametags. Please let us know if you haven’t received one.

STANDING LOCATIONS
We are getting far too many complaints from some of you who are not willing to work at the locations that require you to stand. You all need to realize that this is a HOTEL policy, not an AGS policy, and you CANNOT bring a chair and put it behind the desk. If you are unwilling to work these locations, we will be requiring a doctor’s note stating the reason why. This really limits us on scheduling and may lead to you being removed from certain teams. We know it’s taxing to stand all day, but we have no problem with you taking a few 5 minute breaks to sit down in the break room or walk around the lobby when it’s not busy.summer[1]

Sea WorldSEA WORLD UPDATE
Mako is now open! This is a GREAT selling point for your guests to purchase Sea World tickets! BE A “LOBBY AMBASSADOR”
If you don’t have a guest at your desk, please make sure you get out in the lobby and greet guests! Pass out stickers to the kids. Introduce yourself as the Concierge and let them know you are there to assist with any question they may have. Be sure to let them know you also have all the attraction tickets as well. This is what will lead to sales and also GREAT COMMENTS. If a guest wants to compliment your service, tell them the best thing to do is leave a comment on Trip Advisor for the hotel and also the AGS Facebook page. This will help the hotel’s scores as well as our reputation!

CIRQUE DU SOLEIL – 50% OFF KIDS
From now through September 3, we will be offering children at 50% off. For those of you with access to Connect that print your own tickets, be sure to choose the “KIDS 50%” on the bottom line of the page where you choose the quantity. June 3, 2016 – Volume 26.22 – Universal Gate Price Increase

Effective 5/27, Universal has announced a gate price increase on only ONE DAY TICKETS that will now match Disney’s variable pricing format. As of 6/3, we have changed the pricing in our old POS and ITicketPOS to match the gate prices. Obviously this will give you an opportunity to more than DOUBLE your commission when you sell the tickets at gate price. However, we do NOT want you to lose sales. So if a guest tells you they saw them Universal’s website cheaper, go ahead and MATCH the price, but you will need to add in the 10% convenience fee to bring it back to what we were previously charging. If you are on ITicketPOS, you will need to go to “Special Offers” in order to match the online prcing. For those of you using AlDesk, we will continue to charge per ELE’s rate. If you have questions, call your lead.

DISNEY PEAK TICKETS
After putting out numerous messages about this, just yesterday we had someone on AlDesk sell and print Disney “Regular” tickets. The guest got to the gate and had to go to Guest Relations and they were very upset. PLEASE GUYS, MAKE SURE YOU ARE CHARGING FOR AND PRINTING “PEAK” ONE DAY DISNEY TICKETS THROUGH JULY 23RD!

CIRQUE DU SOLEIL – 50% OFF KIDS
From now through September 3, we will be offering children at 50% off. For those of you with access to Connect that print your own tickets, be sure to choose the “KIDS 50%” on the bottom line of the page where you choose the quantity. If you don’t make this selection and you choose the regular Kids tickets, we will be charged the higher rate and this will be charged back to YOU.

AQUATICA 50% OFF WEEKDAYS
Today, Friday, 6/3 is the LAST DAY to sell these tickets. For anyone wanting tickets after this date, you must print and sell the regular One Day Aquatica admission tickets.

Sea WorldSEA WORLD PRICING UPDATE
Effective Monday, 6/6, the $30 off special will NO LONGER BE VALID and Sea World will go back to $20 off. You will continue to print the “Sea World Orlando Single Day Tickets” in EZ Ticket. You will just be charging $10 more. The “Choose Your Adventure – 1 Visit” ticket will ONLY be printed for guests purchasing Busch Gardens by itself.

GAY WEEK
For those of you on AlDesk or ITicketPOS, please make sure you are mentioning the Convention Tickets to anyone visiting this week for gay week. They DO qualify for these tickets and your commissions will be MUCH HIGHER. The main day for years has been the visit to the Magic Kingdom on Saturday, 6/4. We need to be sensitive to the needs of all of our guests, so without offending anyone, you need to assess the attitude of your guests and make sure they are aware that some of the parks on particular days will be very crowded – particularly the Magic Kingdom on Saturday, 6/4. So if you have families with smaller children, you may want to direct them to another park on that day.

LEGOLAND BOGO OFFER
McDonald’s is offering a coupon for a “Buy an Adult Ticket, Get a Kid Free”. We will honor this coupon using the Legoland Gifting (Touring) store. Remember, the adults MUST BE AT FULL PRICE and you must have an EQUAL number of Adults and Kids tickets. If you have an odd amount, you must print them out of the Legoland Guest Services (Non-Touring) store. For example, if you have 2 Adults and 3 Kids, you would sell and print 2 Bogos out of the Gifting Store (2 Adults and 2 Kids Free) and sell 1 additional child and print it out of the Guest Services store. If you have any questions, please call a lead or manager.

UNIFORMS – CODED ON WHEN TO WORK
We now have 3 different uniforms for the various teams. When you look at your schedule in When to Work, you will see either nothing, or “ELE” or “AGS”. Here are the uniforms for those locations: ELE – Black Slacks/White Dress Shirt/Black Jacket; AGS or Blank– Black Slacks/AGS Uniform shirt; VIP Locations (Embassy, Courtyard LBV, Delta, Clarion Palm Parkway, Oasis, Radisson LBV, Sheraton LBV, Paradise Palms, Windsor) – Black Slacks/White Dress Shirt/Black Jacket/AGS Branded Tie or Scarf. Be sure you are wearing the proper uniform for the location you are working.

RENTAL CARS – ACTION INCENTIVE

Sea WorldSEA WORLD SPECIAL ENDS 6/5

Make sure as June 5th gets closer, you ASK YOUR GUESTS WHAT DATE THEY WILL BE VISITING! They will not be able to get in if you print the current “Sea World One Day” tickets.

AQUATICA 50% OFF WEEKDAYS
If you have guests that mention they saw the 50% off Weekday tickets for Aquatica, you can sell these tickets. UNIVERSAL GATE PRICE INCREASE                      Effective TODAY, 5/27, Universal has announced that they will institute variable pricing on their ONE Day Ticket – Base and PTP.  This is a SUBSTANTIAL price increase, but for now, we will continue to charge the same price, which matches their online pricing.  You can use this as a way to tell them we are offering a substantial discount over the gate price.

SELL CONVENTION TICKETS!                                                                                                                       For those of you on AlDesk or the ITicketPOS, there are a LOT of conventions in town that gives you an opportunity to SELL these tickets that offers you GREAT commissions!  This includes:  MegaCon, the Libertarian Convention, and Gay Week.  As always, the guest (or their family) must be qualified in order to sell these tickets.

USE OF LEGACY CC MACHINES
You must be VERY diligent when using a legacy (no chip reader) credit card machine! We had someone purchase 10 Magic Kingdom tickets at the Comfort Suites on 192 with a stolen card. Remember, if you do not have a chip reader and you swipe the card, YOU MUST CHECK ID, VERIFY THE ROOM NUMBER, AND WRITE WHAT TICKETS ARE PURCHASED ON EVERY SLIP. For larger parties (of more than 4), you MUST have all members of the party in FRONT of you! We received 12 chargebacks in the last 2 weeks totaling more than $8000. PLEASE be sure to follow these procedures and write what tickets are purchased on EVERY credit card slip.

GAY WEEK
Gay Week starts Tuesday, 5/31 and continues through Sunday, 6/5. The host hotel is the DoubleTree / Sea World with the overflow hotel being the Hyatt Regency Convention Center. While most of the events are private separately ticketed events, they do have an itinerary published on their website: www.gaydays.com, The main day for years has been the visit to the Magic Kingdom on Saturday, 6/4. We need to be sensitive to the needs of all of our guests, so without offending anyone, you need to assess the attitude of your guests and make sure they are aware that some of the parks on particular days will be very crowded – particularly the Magic Kingdom on 6/4. So if you have families with smaller children, you may want to direct them to another park on that day. The good news is that this qualifies as a convention. So for those of you on AlDesk or ITicketPOS, you can sell anyone here for the events the Convention Tickets, which have a much higher commission! As usual, they must be qualified.

LEGOLAND GATE PRICE INCREASE
Legoland has increased all gate products by $2 effective May 18th. The POS has been changed to reflect this increase.

STAY AT DESKS OR IN LOBBY
Again, you must be at your desk or greeting guests in the lobby between the hours of 7 am – 11 am. At least once a week, we get a call from a hotel manager saying there are people at the desk waiting to buy tickets and our person is not there for an extended period of time. This is unacceptable and will lead to reprimand and/or termination.

memorialday14[1]MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND IS COMING!

7 AM – 11 AM MUST BE AT DESK
We want to remind all of you that the hours between 7 am and 11 am are our peak time for ticket sales. Everyone must be available to assist guests – either behind the desk or greeting guests in the lobby. There is to be absolutely no breaks of longer than 5 minutes during this time. Far too often we get calls from hotel managers saying there is no one at the desk and people are waiting to buy tickets. This should NEVER happen. We will be monitoring this for adherence.

NO CELL PHONE USE – PERSONAL CALLS
Another complaint we are getting from our hotel partners is that some of you are on personal calls. We DO NOT allow cell phone use at the desk (unless it’s an emergency or your desk phone doesn’t work). Also, any phone use at the desk should be business related. Save personal calls for your breaks and use your cell phone only in a designated break area during your break time.

CONVENTION TICKETS
For those of you with access to Disney Convention Tickets (Premier, AlDesk, new AGS POS locations), you should always be on the lookout for anyone in a tie or wearing a convention badge. Be sure to suggest the After 3 tickets or any other Convention tickets to them AND THEIR FAMILIES. These are great profit tickets! Be sure they are qualified and here on a convention or meeting.

STILL LOOKING FOR GREAT PEOPLE!
Some of you have sent over some outstanding prospects. THANK YOU! Remember, if you send someone and they are hired and stay with us for at least 90 days, you will get a $100 Visa Gift Card!

GO ABOVE AND BEYOND!
Remember, we want you to go “Above and Beyond” for EVERY guest. Be very thorough with the information you give. Help them in any way possible. Get out from behind the desk, SMILE and greet people in the lobby. Let’s get those GREAT comment cards for the hotel and on Trip Advisor!

May 6, 2016 – Volume 26.18 – SLOWER TIME – MAXIMIZE SALES!

As we move into May – one of our slower months – it is VERY IMPORTANT to do these things: 1) Keep a positive attitude! If you’re miserable, this will come across to the guests and you will do even less sales. 2) Get out from behind the desk and greet guests in the lobby. You cannot expect to do sales without greeting guests in the lobby, welcoming them, introducing yourself as the concierge, and letting them know you are there to help them. 3) Ask good Discovery Questions. Where are you from? (We may not be able to sell certain tickets to Florida Residents e.g. Gatorland is having a FL Resident special) Have you visited Orlando before? Do you have children? What are their ages? Do you have a car? What parks did you plan on visiting? 4) Upgrade any tickets sold. Start with the highest tickets possible and work your way down. Don’t let anyone walk away from your desk with a One Day Disney, Universal, or Sea World without knowing all of the options available on multi-day and multi-park tickets. Be sure to encourage the PTP option on Universal Tickets (they can take the Hogwarts Express) and the Hopper Option on Disney.5) Ask if they have dinner plans. This can lead into your pitch for dinner shows. 6) Don’t forget the smaller attractions that give MORE commission than the majors! Legoland / I-Drive 360 attractions are a GREAT example.

CLEANING DESKS
We appreciate those of you who go into a location and clean and organize the desks. You should do this on a daily basis and throw out any outdated materials. However, please do not throw away anyone’s personal items, like plastic racks, referral stamps, notebooks and plants. We have some of these missing from a location and an upset employee because she paid for these herself.

NAMETAGS MUST BE WORN
Some of the new folks do not yet have nametags, but if you have yours, you must wear it while working. We constantly visit locations and have to tell many of you to put on your nametags.

We hope that everyone got a chance to experience “Disney After Hours”. “Disney After Hours” takes place May 8, 12 and 19, 2016 at Magic Kingdom Park. A separate event ticket is required. Guests can check-in starting at 7 p.m. each night, with the event hours from 11 p.m.-2 a.m. (or 10 pm – 1 am). Pricing is $149 plus tax for adults and children (ages 3-9). We have it for the same price but obviously a Convenience Fee has to be charged in order for us to make any profit. Admission is limited! For those of you on the “Premier” team, you already have it in the POS. For the AGS team, it has been added and you have different booking procedures. It will be the same as with MVMCP and MNSSHP tickets where a manager or lead will have to book it for you and the actual tickets will be drop boxed to you. Please check your When to Work messages for more information.

I-RIDE TROLLEY TICKET SALES
For those of you working at I-Drive properties that have access to I-Ride Trolley tickets, please make sure your guests understand all the options. You want to encourage them to buy the tickets from us that give UNLIMITED daily rides, but if you have Seniors and Kids, the trolley sells single ride tickets at lower prices where they pay right on the trolley. Please review the brochure or website for more information.

BE PRODUCTIVE DURING DOWNTIME
Schuyler gave everyone a great suggestion. When you are slow, you should always use this time to improve your knowledge so it will lead to more sales. Look through your POS at all of the different products and pricing to make sure you are familiar with them. Read the descriptions. Try to look at their websites and brochures to be able to describe them without hesitation. LEARN!

RECONCILE UNIVERSAL TICKETS
We continue to have the most issues with those of you who are not reconciling your Universal tickets to the POS. Remember, after you run your Summary Report, if those sales do not match up with your POS, you MUST run a DETAIL report and return the FIRST SET of any duplicate tickets. Please be sure to do this at the end of every shift.

APPEARANCE STANDARDS
We just want to reiterate that we follow Disney standards for appearance. That means no facial piercings (including nose rings) or head gear. This would include hats, head scarves or bandanas. The only exceptions would be with a doctor’s note.

STILL LOOKING FOR GREAT PEOPLE!
Some of you have sent over some outstanding prospects. THANK YOU! Remember, if you send someone and they are hired and stay with us for at least 90 days, you will get a $100 Visa Gift Card!

April 29, 2016 – Volume 26.17 – AGS TEAM – PLEASE READ EACH TICKET OUT LOUD TO YOUR GUESTS

For those of you on the AGS Team, we are having FAR TOO MANY mistakes made on tickets given to guests. Just this week, we’ve had people getting “Value” season tickets instead of “Regular” season tickets, we’ve had people getting Non-Magic Kingdom tickets instead of Magic Kingdom tickets, and people getting Universal BASE tickets instead of Park-to-Park tickets. You MUST read EACH TICKET OUT LOUD to the guest as you hand them over. Again, this is your LAST CHANCE to catch any mistakes! READ EACH TICKET OUT LOUD off the Disney “Congratulations” page as well. You have no idea how many irate guests we have to deal with on a daily basis because of these mistakes, and how many times we hear “You’ve ruined our entire vacation” because of the mistakes that are made that SHOULD BE CAUGHT! We know that the Premier team generally does not have this problem with their POS. Also be very thorough when describing the theme parks. Make sure the guest knows WHAT PARKS THEY ARE BUYING, how long they have to use the tickets (for example 14 days for a multi-day Disney ticket) and where the parks are located. Be sure to tell them when buying Busch Gardens tickets that it’s 1 – 1 ½ hours away (depending on where they are staying) and Legoland is 45 minutes to 1 hour away. Also, don’t forget to offer the free Busch Gardens Shuttle Express and be sure to book it for them (at least one day in advance) if they are taking it.

BATCH OUT CREDIT CARD MACHINES
Again, for the AGS Team, please be sure you are batching out your credit card machine. At the end of your shift, everyone needs to run a DETAIL REPORT AND THEN CLOSE THE BATCH. Your final slip MUST READ “SETTLEMENT SUCCESSFUL”. Make sure you put your slips in ascending order, with the Detail Report on top and the “SETTLEMENT” slip on the VERY TOP. If your location name is not correct, cross it out and write the correct hotel name on top. STAPLE all slips together and put them in the drop.

If you have Obamacare and want to wait, you can do so and you can contact us as you near 90 days. As for all other team members, when your 90 days approaches, you will receive a customized application for YOU ONLY, and you MUST fill it out. Even if you DECLINE the coverage, we must have the form on file. So please be sure to get the form back to us as you approach your 90th day of work.

April 22, 2016 – Volume 26.16 – GREAT PROSPECTS NEEDED!

We really need to hire at least 10 more people and we’ve decided to reward YOU! If you refer someone to us and they are hired and stay with us for 90 days, you will receive a $100 Visa gift card! This is effective today – 4/21 – until further notice, but is not retroactive. So if you know of anyone that has a GREAT outgoing personality, knows the attractions and the Orlando area, and can work anytime, including nights and weekends, please have them call the office to set up an interview.

EXCESSIVE ABSENTEEISM
We cannot and will not tolerate excessive call outs. Unless you have a doctor’s note, anyone calling out more than 3 times in a 90 day period will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination. If you are scheduled to work, you are expected to be there.

GO ABOVE AND BEYOND
We have gotten some disturbing comments from some guests this week stating that our employees seemed “disinterested” in helping them, and didn’t want to help with their questions. You are a PROFESSIONAL concierge. It is your job to assist guests in every way possible. As slow as it is, there is no excuse for not spending time with your guests, helping answer all of their questions, and making them feel welcome. Whether they buy from you or not, everyone needs to be treated with the same amount of respect. If you don’t know the answer to something, you NEVER say “I don’t know”. Your response should be “If you’ll give me one second, I’ll find out for you”. Then use whatever resources you can to find out – Google it, call a lead, or call a manager. Every guest should walk away from your guest thinking “That was GREAT service!”

CREDIT CARD SLIPS
Remember, these 3 things must be written on every credit card slip: Tickets purchased, room #, and ID # (if possible).

April 15, 2016 – Volume 26.15 – WELCOME TO THE AGS FAMILY!

Please join us in welcoming all of the folks that stayed on with us from the FDT Team! We are excited to have you and we want to personally thank each of you who decided to stay and give it a chance. We are confident that all of you will enjoy working here and hope that you make more money than ever. Welcome aboard!

LOOKING FOR GREAT PROSPECTS
With that said, we are looking for more people to join our team. If you know of anyone that is outgoing and has a great personality, is familiar with the theme parks and the Orlando area, and can work anytime, including nights and weekends, please have them call the office to set up an interview.

SPREAD “LOBBY MAGIC”
As we all know, this will be a slower time until late June. For any of you to make money, it will be VERY IMPORTANT to get out from behind the desk and greet guests in the lobby. Pass out stickers to the kids, welcome people to the hotel and make sure you introduce yourself as the Concierge. Be sure to mention that you are there to help them with any questions about the parks and you have tickets available for them. While we don’t want you to interrupt people that are eating in the breakfast room, you can stand near the entrance and greet people. We want each of you to acts as the hotel ambassador and spread that “lobby magic”!

DISNEYQUEST TICKETS
For those of you in the AGS locations that carry pre-activated DisneyQuest tickets, we can no longer order these tickets. The ones we have in our inventory are all we have left. Please do not order any additional tickets through the Supplies Request Form.

IMPORTANT PHONE NUMBER LIST
If you need to reach a manager, please look at the Important Phone Number List on the AGS Homepage. Use the leads as the first point of contact, then managers.

CREDIT CARD SLIPS
When chargebacks come in, we’re coming across a LOT of credit card slips (particularly from the Timeshare locations) that DO NOT have the information that we require on them. Remember, you must write what tickets were purchased (you can abbreviate) as well as the room number and ID # (so that we know you’ve matched up the ID with the card holder) on EACH credit card slip. This helps us win chargebacks when they are presented. This is ESPECIALLY important for those of you using the old (legacy) credit card machines.

CALLING IN SICK
We’ve had a lot of people out sick lately and you have no idea what a hardship this causes. We have to cover the desks no matter what, so please keep this in mind. We do keep track of all attendance issues and anyone with excessive call-ins will be reprimanded and/or terminated. Don’t forget that you MUST talk to a manager in person if you are sick – NO TEXTS, VOICEMAILS OR E-MAILS. If you are not feeling well in the evening and you are working an AM shift, call the MOD that evening. If they don’t answer, keep calling EVERY manager until someone answers. If you wake up sick, please call between 5:30 and 6 am to either Ana Maria Monday – Friday, or the MOD on Saturday and Sunday.

This is when they clear out the park and allow only those who have these special event tickets to stay and enjoy free ice cream and soft drinks and all of the major attractions with no waiting! The deadline to RSVP is NOON Monday, 4/18. No other requests can be honored after 12.

April 8, 2016 – Volume 26.14- EXPEDIA PARTNERSHIP CLARIFICATIONS

There seems to be a lot of false rumors out there regarding our new relationship with Expedia, so we need to clear a few things up. First of all, this NOT A MERGER, BUYOUT, or anything like that. Expedia uses 3rd parties to run their desks in many of the cities that they are in and we will begin to do that at some of their locations here in Orlando. We in turn will begin using their POS in a handful of our locations. Nothing else is changing. All of our locations WILL REMAIN AGS DESKS, with AGS employees, uniforms and standards. The new desks we will be taking over will remain Expedia desks, with their current uniforms and standards, although the people working them will be paid and employed by AGS. So in essence, there will be no visible changes to any guests or hotel management. Everything will be the same, other than possibly using a different POS system. This partnership will help both companies add new products, hopefully get better rates on current products and allow everyone to make more money, including you all making more commissions!

DISNEY “REGULAR” THROUGH 5/26
Don’t forget that we are now in REGULAR season for all ONE DAY DISNEY TICKET SALES. This continues through May 26th. When printing ONE DAY HOPPERS, you must also click on the correct time period, so be sure to click in “REGULAR” for One Day Hoppers as well.

5th DAY FREE – HOPPERS/PREMIUM
Again, we are not offering a 5th Day Free on the 4 Day BASE ticket anymore, but we ARE offering it on 4 Day Hoppers or Premiums. If you offer this to someone that is buying a 4 Day Hopper, be sure to put it in as the POS as a 5 Day and edit the price using the pencil down to the 4 Day Hopper price. The ONLY exception to this rule is those that have toured at Vistana and are getting the VIP price. On these tickets only, you can give a free day on the 4 Day Base ticket. When doing this, again, you must enter it in the POS as a 5 Day Base ticket and edit the price down to the 4 Day Base price.

DEPOSIT PROCEDURE REVIEW
Rick and Linda open the deposits on a daily basis and would like to have you all help them with some issues to make their lives easier. Please make sure you do the following: 1) Staple log sheets and all necessary reports – back-to-back; 2) Credit Card receipts – They must all signed by the guest and put in ascending order, with the detail report on top and the Batch Settlement on the VERY TOP. All receipts MUST BE STAPLED together as a unit. If the name of your hotel doesn’t match what’s at the top or your slips, you MUST WRITE the correct name at the top of your Settlement Slip – NO EXCEPTIONS. 3) Print your name, the correct date, location name (be specific for example Rad LBV or Rad Cel), AM or PM shift, so it can be read easily in the MIDDLE of the front of the envelope. DO NOT: Staple credit card slips to the log sheet; Use red ink pens – they are for office use only; Staple credit card slips to vouchers; Tape envelopes from corner to corner – leave a little room at the corner please so they can be ripped open at the office. Thank you!

UNIVERSAL 3RD DAY FREE ENDING
Keep in mind that the last day to print and sell the 3rd Day Free on Universal tickets will be April 12th. Anyone that has tickets by that date will be able to use them through 5/31, but all portions of the ticket must be used entirely by 5/31.

SECRET SHOPPERS ARE OUT
We want to remind everyone that we have secret shoppers out on a regular basis, posing as tourists, renting cars, and buying tickets. They will be checking for honesty, following proper procedures and recording transactions correctly. We will be firing any one not recording transactions correctly – like we have in the past – including leads.
