Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party starts Friday, 8/25.  Remember, with
our tickets the guest can enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4 pm at the
specially designated turnstile.  This is a good selling point for these
tickets.

We are currently in REGULAR season for one day tickets. Disney VALUE season starts Sunday, 8/20 and continues through 8/31.  Be sure to ask anyone purchasing any ONE DAY DISNEY TICKETS what day they will be visiting the park.  If it’s before Sunday, charge for and print the
REGULAR season ticket.  Sunday and later, charge for and print the VALUE
season ticket. “4 PARK MAGIC TICKET” HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH AUGUST 23RD – Originally this ticket was slated to stop on July 30th, but it has now been extended to sell through August 23rd. Universal is offering a new “Promo” ticket. If anyone purchases a 3 Park Universal Ticket for 2, 3, or 4 Days, you will now print the 4 Day Promo Tickets at the bottom of the page in Universal Instant Ticket Wizard.  This is a temporary special that will be continuing through November 30th.  The only time you will print a regular 3 Park ticket is for a 5 Day ticket, or if you are in gifting, the 3 Park 7 Day Gifting ticket.

Cell phones use is FORBIDDEN WHEN WORKING.  All managers will be checking for this and anyone using their cell phones at the desk will reprimanded and/or terminated.  We are getting far too many complaints from our hotel managers about those of you who are not following this policy.  The ONLY EXCEPTION is if your hotel phone is down.  Otherwise, save your personal calls for your break time and make the calls out of guest view.  Cell phones should be put in a drawer or purse and on silent while working.

New Hire Orientations will be held next Wednesday, 8/9 from 3:30 – 5:30 at Moonfish on Sand Lake Road.  If you have been hired recently and not been through orientations, you are required to attend.  Dinner will be served and you will be paid.

Budget your money!  Many of you have made some great money over the summer, but as anyone who’s been in the business knows, once school starts we really drop off.  So PREPARE yourself for this and be sure to set some money aside so you can get through the slow month of September

Many of you are getting very lax with your uniforms, and we will not and cannot allow this.  You need to look professional!  Again, here are the MANDATORY uniform requirements for each team:  PREMIER – Black Jacket/Blazer (MUST BE WORN), black dress slacks (no jeans or spandex material), white button down profession looking shirt/blouse (no t-shirts or tight fighting shirts), black dress shoes (no tennis shoes) and nametag.  VIP – Same as Premier, but also with the AGS scarf or tie.  AGS/Activity Link Team – Black or khaki slacks (no jeans or spandex material), AGS oxford, dress shoes, AGS Nametag.  Attaction polos may be worn on SUNDAYS ONLY and the Orlando City oxfords may be worn on game days or one day before game days.  Gifting Team – Same as Activity Link, but no polos are allowed to be worn on Sundays.  Managers will be checking for proper uniforms and anyone not in uniform will be sent home without pay.

Message management asap to let them know which Disney training event you are going to either August 7th or 8th. On a daily basis, we get Disney tickets that have been voided sent to the office. If your POS system has given you a message saying the tickets have been voided/cancelled, please DO NOT send them in to the office. We don’t want them and there’s no reason to have them here. Cut them in half and throw them away! The only time you should send them in is if you are unsure if they were activated or if you get an “Error” message during the selling process. Thank you for your help with this.

Absolutley NO CELL PHONE usage at desks.  Cell phones are to be kept on vibrate and kept OUT OF GUEST VIEW.  No one should be using them unless the desk phone is down or it’s an emergency.  If you have an emergency and need to use the cell phone, step away from the desk for 1 minute and do so out of view of the guests.

Victory Casino Cruises will be celebrating their 6th Anniversary on Saturday July 29th. This day the ship is sold out and will not have any open tickets for the public. This includes any hotel or timeshare guests.

In all POS systems, the guest’s name MUST be entered – minimally the last name.  You CANNOT enter all initials. Please match up all sales in the POS with you End of Day reports – especially with Visa Gift Cards, Universal and Legoland. If they don’t match, run a “Detail Report” and return the 1^st set of any duplicates.

ActivityLink Users: I am not sure if you noticed the new CYA 1 Visit+Meal.  This is going to replace the SW Pair w/Free Meal.  It will have the same entitlement but it can be used as a SeaWorld with Meal or Busch Gardens with Meal.  Another advantage is that instead of the customer stopping at the kiosk prior to entering they will be able to go directly to the restaurant to redeem the meal once they have entered the park.

Did you know that Gatorland in under going a $2.5 MILLION dollar expansion (their biggest since 1949)?! The park started the project back in April and plan to open in early fall with the opening of Gator Joe’s Adventure Outpost and Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure.

“The new Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure will take guests into a section of the park that has never been seen, running alongside the swamps that feed the headwaters of the everglades. Each of the three monster-style, off-road vehicles seats 12 riders, plus the driver, and is decorated to represent iconic alligators and crocodiles in Gatorland’s rich history.
The new Gator Joe’s Adventure Outpost will be located in front of the Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure, and serve as the park’s home base of reserving and purchasing all separately-ticketed park adventures, including the Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure, Screamin’ Gator Zip Line, Adventure Hour, Gator Night Shine, and Trainer For A Day.
Gatorland is a 100-acre theme park combing Old Florida charm with exciting experiences, exhibits, and entertainment. The park originally opened as a road side attraction in 1949. Guests receive a free after 2pm Disney water park admission, if they purchase a 1 Day Disney Hopper or a 2 Day Disney Hopper from you. Because it is summer, every guest should be told about the water parks and more option. Typhoon has their newest ride, Miss Adventure Falls, which is a family raft ride. Blizzard Beach has a character meet and greet with Kristoff from Frozen. Remember DisneyQuest is now closed so their other option besides water parks would be mini golf, which includes Winter Summerland and Fantasia Gardens.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

We are having far too many mistakes being made with guests getting the wrong Universal tickets and Legoland tickets. Remember, you MUST READ EACH TICKET OUT LOUD TO THE GUEST AS YOU HAND THEM OVER. For Universal alone, we’ve had guests pay for Adults and get Child tickets, pay for 2 Day PTP and get 1 Day PTP, and pay for Park-to-Park and get Base tickets. This is just carelessness and causes a great guest inconvenience. USE THE FILTER OPTION on Universal. This CANNOT continue to happen. READING THE TICKETS OUT LOUD TO THE GUEST IS THE LAST TIME YOU HAVE TO CATCH A MISTAKE AND CORRECT IT. Whenever you sell Volcano Bay, let the guest know they must get there EARLY to avoid not being able to get in when it is busy.

BUSCH GARDENS

This summer Busch Gardens is hosting Summer Nights, featuring park-wide party zones, summer cuisine, thrill rides in the dark and an all-new summer ice show at the Moroccan Palace, Turn It Up! The event is through August 6 and the park is open until 9 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays, and until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. If the guest does not have their own vehicle, we can provide FREE TRANSPORTATION with Mears shuttle service. To book this shuttle, make your reservations online or call 1-813-884-4FUN (4386). Reservations are highly recommended.

LEGOLAND

Our LEGOLAND promotion (water park free) has been extended until September 4th. Push this ticket!! If they do not have transportation, you can schedule them the free shuttle. This ticket should be promoted to families with small children and any LEGO fans. As far as Legoland and the I-Drive 360 attractions, we have DAILY problems with those of you selling and printing BOGO tickets. Many of you are putting the right tickets in POS and printing the wrong ones, or vice versa. If you are unclear on this, PLEASE CALL A LEAD OR MANAGER before making the sale.

Victory Casino Cruises will be celebrating their 6th Anniversary on Saturday July 29th. This day the ship is sold out and will not have any open tickets for the public. This includes any hotel or timeshare guests. 

Effective immediately, the BOGO offer for the IDrive 360 (Orlando Eye) attractions cannot be used as a buy one get one for a separate attraction. In other words, they CANNOT buy the Orlando Eye and get the SeaLife aquarium free. However, they CAN buy one and get a second person free (Adult or Child) for the same attraction. So moving forward, the BOGO can only be used if the customer wants to visit one attraction. If the customer wants to visit multiple attractions then they must purchase a pick 2 or pick 3.

The Fun Guide/Activity Guide should be given to EVERY guest.
Also, we still need to support our referral partners by giving out referral
cards.  Continue to get everyone to download the “City Access” app, but
don’t let that stop you from passing out the referral cards as well. A good tip is to hand out the City Access app to people who are staying a few days and give your coupons to those who are here 4 days or more. Give coupons to those from out of the country since they might not be able to use Wifi for the app.

All credit cards must be run through the chip reader. CHECK ALL LARGE BILLS WITH THE COUNTERFEIT PEN. Every guest should be pitched on Sea World, Legoland and Kennedy Space Center. Also, you need to pitch DINNER SHOWS to every guest. Dinner shows are some of our highest profit tickets. Ask your guests if they have any dinner plans while they’re here and after recommending the hotel/resorts restaurants (these should always be first), go into your pitch for Dinner Shows. Talk about Medieval Times, Pirate’s and Wonderworks Comedy Magic show if they have kids, and Treasure Tavern, Mangos and Sleuth’s Mystery Dinner show for adults.

When you are working an AM shift at a location that has a PM shift. You are not to leave until your replacement is there and has banked in. If you leave before your replacement and have not gotten approval from a manager you will be reprimanded. You must call a manager and get approval.

As far as Legoland and the I-Drive 360 attractions, we have DAILY problems with those of you selling and printing BOGO tickets. TIME IS RUNNING OUT to visit DisneyQuest. Closing on July 2nd, DisneyQuest has been around since June 19th, 1998. It is an indoor theme park with 5 floors of rides and games. Perfect for kids and teens, DisneyQuest has unlimited free play arcade style games which makes for a fun family night out. Talk this up with your guests so they get to see it before it’s GAME OVER.

For those of you who RSVP’d to the Disney event at Coronado Springs, please remember to arrive between 5-6 for registration. You will not be able to attend after 6. The event runs until 8pm in Coronado Room L. Have fun! Epcot’s Sounds Like Summer Concert Series is in full effect. These are the next bands to perform:

June 21-26: Mike DelGuidice & Big Shot – A Tribute Billy Joel Show. June 27 – July 4: Don’t Look Back – A Tribute to Boston.

Disney has been kind enough to give each of our employees (2) After 4 PM tickets to the Magic Kingdom! You should use this as an opportunity to see the new “Happily Ever After” Nighttime fireworks spectacular. In order to experience this new spectacular, tickets have been set up for you (and a guest) and are available for pick up at the Transportation and Ticket Center at the Magic Kingdom Park
– Tickets are valid for AFTER 4 PM admission any one day from June 12 – June 29, and July 5 – July 31, 2017. (Blocked out from 6/30 – 7/4).

SEAWORLD & LEGOLAND

Sea World has increased their prices on all multi-park tickets. The single day Sea World, Busch Gardens, and Aquatica are not affected. Here are the increases:

Choose Your Adventure 2 Visits: $10
Choose Your Adventure 3 Visits: $30
Unlimited Visits with Parking: $20—Also, the Timeshare Ticket with a Meal (that must be sold in pairs) is now good for EITHER Sea World OR Busch Gardens. With this new ticket, your guests no longer have to go to a kiosk to get their meal voucher. They can go directly to ANY participating restaurant and present their ticket to get the meal. Sea World with Meal, they have now changed the name to CYA + 1 Meal.

Now through June 30th, we will be offering the Water Park FREE with a regular Legoland purchase. Here are the key points:

1) No other discounts or offers will apply. This offer cannot be applied to any of the Touring/Timeshare BOGO ticket offers.
2) In the Legoland store you MUST print the Legoland & Water Park Combo ticket and DISCOUNT IT $20, which will bring it down to the regular Legoland price
3) Please do NOT print a regular ticket and tell them the Water Park is included and is free! You MUST print the Legoland & Water Park Combo and DISCOUNT it $20
